Robbie Fowler talks to LFCTv

Good article about Robbie. Still talks with passion about the club showing how much he still loves it.

Contrast that with someone else leaving!

really nice article. there's a story about Mark Kennedy having a howler in the first half of a match under Paisley. At half time Paisley walks into the dressing room, takes one look at Barney Rubble and says: They shot the wrong Kennedy!

We should never have got rid of Fowler - if need be, other players should have gone instead. I know he himself admits he'd gone a bit stale, but I think leaving Liverpool broke him - thus his poor displays for Leeds and Man C. It's difficult to motivate yourself when you've been sold by the greatest team in the world.

God was widely acknowledged as the best natural finisher in England. Because people are always hyper-critical they talked about him improving his all-round game and I think he did this and seeing him play for Man C last season this aspect of his game was actually better that his finishing!

Things I will remember Robbie for:
The dockers T-shirt
The Seaman penalty incident
Sniffing the line (controversial but very very funny and a great comeback to the jibes from the Toffees)
The GOALS - every single last one of them!

~I would love to see Robbie come back here for the end of his career as a goodbye to the fans.

I certainly think he was very hard done by. While he did go off the rails, he certainly didnt seem to get the same chances that others whose record pale into comparsion to his as backroom politics kicked in
Always will be a legend in my mind and that fact that he hasnt risen to any great heights in any other team to me just shows how much the Pool meant to him

I always remember goin home at lunch from work and watching the leeds press conference, Robbie looked like he was going to cry and it felt so weird seeing him at another club, I'll always welcome that lad back and he will always be a god at Anfield!

A true red!  With the (hopefully) new attacking style of play, Robbie could be great again
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I think that Cisse and Fowler could play well together, we lack a natural 'poacher' like Robbie.

If last Saturday's goal is anything to go by, he could well be back to his old tricks. There's not a single player in the Premiership that would've shot in that position without taking another touch to get it under control.

And however much his form has dipped, I'd still back him to the hilt over Pongolle. He's still got a hell of a lot to offer. All he's lacked since he left LFC is fitness and form. If he sorts out the former, the latter will sort itself out.

I'd swap Baros for Fowler.. Good call Paul, Cisse and Fowler would work well

Quite right, Cisse and God up front with the midfield of Alonso, Gerrard, Kewell and hopefully Garcia.

Bet Mikee's having 2nd thoughts!

you are all remembering the fowler who burst onto the scene and scored goals all over the place for a few years. after his initial injury he didn't do it for LFC, He had a number of poor seasons back to back. I was glad to get £11m for him.

He was great but so was John Barnes, do you want him back on the wing?

Thanks for the memories Robbie but he no longer has the ability to score 25 a season like he used to (how long has it been since he did that)

Great goal last weekend but even Heskey got a great goal last season (against either Leicester or Birmingham, can't remember)
