Watched 'Michael Clayton' last night. Fuck me what a bore fest that was, best part of two hours watching a story that could've been wrapped up in about 20 mins.
It's about a Law firm fixer who has to sort out a multi-billion dollar lawsuit when the original lawyer appears to go mental but was actually piecing together the truth about the corporation he was defending.  :sleep  :sleep

If anyones still awake and reading this then I would say avoid like you'd avoid a prostate exam with Captain Hook!!

The biggest disappointment for me (apart from how boring it was) was the "twist at the end" was just so predictable and anti-climatic.

POSSIBLE SPOILER

Exactly, I think it would've been a better twist if he'd have taken the bribe she'd offered him.

The missus loved the series so I've watched the series with her over the zears and I actuallz thought that it was prettz interesting.... The movie however, is a total chick-flick.... not a total waste of time mind zou.... but not as good as I expected... having  watched the series and all.

I caught "Burn After Reading" last night and quite enjoyed it.  Much depends if you like the Coen Brothers or not, of course.  Their oddly screwball yet strangely subtle humour does not do it for everyone (and I'd include myself in that category) but this film had it's moments.  Brad Pitt was the best part, as a thick as pigsh.it personal trainer in WAY over his head on a blackmail scam.  John Malkovich was also a laugh as the ex-CIA analyst being blackmailed.  George Clooney turns in a bit of a strange performance but still amusing in parts and Tilda Swinton was good at her ice-queen bitch schtick for the relatively little time she spent on screen.  It's no Fargo but still enjoyable.  7/10

Finally watched Wanted, despite a all star  cast and great actions from Russian director of Daywatch/Nightwatch fame this movie just didnt have any spark for me and was after a while ho hum.

Also saw Get Smart as great fan of original TV series I was expecting a half baked pale imitiation ala Steve Martin's Pink Panther. I was pleasantly surprised to find it had been updated for modern times and paid just rather subtle homage to its source material.  Certainly worth a watch

Anne Hathaway is quite fit young star and found her more pleasing to the eye then rather skinny Angelina in Wanted, never thought I be writing that

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

Was really looking forward to this movie having enjoyed their first outing, but what a disappointment. True there where some laugh out loud moments but unfortunately the movie in common with many American comedies depended on K'nob and T'it gags for it's main source of humour. Pity.
4/10.

Saw that advertised at the cinema the other week and agree that it looks to be a cracker. Just hope that it lives up to the promise of having Pacino and De Niro in it.
