this 20 mil were getting makes it so obvious were getting silva or som1 like that.

atm we had 20 mil, sold risse, le tallec, guthrie, crouch, carson, pennant all totaling:

Roughly 45 mil when completed. + our new 20 mil

So weve bought doessena for 7 so that mean we still have about 58mil

Say we get Barry and Keano thats 34mil leaving 24 mil. Just about the same price David Silva costs. Personally we should just trade Alonso and 5 mil for him which means we could still get som1 else.

lets face it, Parry is dragging his heels which means :

1. Juve will drop all interest in Alonso
2. Barry will go to Ar$enal
3. Man U will get Berbetov which will mean spurs will keep Keano
4. Bentley will go to Villa
5. Silva will stay in Spain
6. Parry will go on holiday

It's pretty common knowledge up here that we've had another offer for Downing turned down. We offered them Carson and Pennant but Boro said no.

That's a pretty lame offer tbh. Can understand why Boro would turn that down. Like most other clubs they would probably like to see some money upfront instead of just being flogged some of our leftover players (though I realise they have actually been linked with Carson) for their main star. Btw I'm not saying I think Downing is in any way a fantastic player who justifies a huge offer, just that I can perfectly understand the rejection from a Boro point of view.

Regarding whether I would actually want him at LFC is an entirely other matter, in which I'm currently undecided (he's neither the best nor the worst we've been linked with this off season).

he splits most fans down the middle to be honest. he's not a flash player and isn't particularly quick but he's got an end product. only ronaldo, gerrard and lampard scored more goals from midfield than him last season if i'm not mistaken.
