Rafa made his first error as boss.

I wouldnt say no change but, 'too many changes'.
Biscan on for Hamann?

Cisse AND BAros off!

Kewell and Pongy up front!

You know what they say............ if it aint broke, dont fix it!

we played way too deep in the 2nd half we can always rely on 1 goal it is always a bigger chance to lose 1 goal than 2!

In the first half we played good in the second we defended more then we attacked, thats our problem. Cisse was taken off way too early, Rafa was trying to give Baros a chance to score through Pongolle who shouldn't even be a striker.

We need to get ready for Manchester City

Lay off Biscan. He did pretty well.

Have to agree. There were periods in the 2nd half, when it felt like GH was in charge (ie....... up a goal, close shop & defend).

But we improved after spurs scored, so that is a positive.

HIGH PRIORITY :
We need a Right midfielder & another striker. Pongolle still looks too raw. He looks lost carrying the front-line.

Pongolle is terrible, this is why we should had kept Owen or atleast found a descent striker to replace him

I felt that for long time that Pongolle is not ready to play first team football at the moment.
We couldn't keep Owen, and we did try best what we could for him. Will you rather have £8millions than free or not? If Owen didn't sign any contract in new season, so he could have sign for Real Madrid in December on pre-season contract for next year for nothing. It was very risky for the club, that why Liverpool learned their big mistake after McManaman went to Real Madrid for nothing and we lost £12millions from their offer from them.

One game does not make a season. Its Rafa's first EPL game. I would take a point anytime we are away. I'm sure Rafa sees what we saw and will make adjustment right away. Many of our players are not in form particular Kewell, Baros and Cisse. Yeah, Cisse scored a goal but he was only so so. I like the kid Warnick, FInnan and Josemi all did well I think. As more new faces coming in, we should be ok. Keep your faith mate!

RB said somthing weeks ago about asking 125% of his players in Valencia and that he couldn't make them do it for another season.

So far in all his games, the high pace of the first half is followed by a slow 2nd. I hope this isn't a trend and his style is to push players too hard. We will burn too many players out .We can't win games , based on energy alone.

On the other hand, today, after we conceeded a goal, we picked it up again and almost got 2.
As everybody with eyes has said WE NEED A RM AND CB :)
