Ok so I bought a new suit today (for an upcoming wedding reception). Its black but its got light vertical stripes. Not pinstripe but very light..Hard to explain but it looks nice!

Anyway im unsure of what shirt and tie to wear with it. i was thinking black shirt with a red tie. The tie isnt pure red but one of those silk black and red ties so they look shiny ect......

Peronally I think it looks smart and sharp but apparantly thats the look of a 'triad enforcer' mafia hitman (lol).

So I thought id get your opinions on that combo.

I was best man at my brothers wedding and he went for the top hat an tails doo dah. Blue suit, white shirt gold bow tie. All rented. It worked as renting is cheaper than buying a whole new suit ! Anyway go for the black bow tie. That way you a dressed smart for a special occasion without looking to formal.

pink suit, sky blue shirt, yellow tie. no one will mistake you for any kind of enforcer and all the girls will love you.

Ditch the red tie Bav, I'm picturing it and I'm thinking Pimp for some reason.

Try a white tie, if the shirt is black. :cool:

Or go for something like this, see what the guy on the left is wearing, its all the rage

Nanny my gf actually reccomended black shirt with a black tie aswell so I may try that out and see how it looks.

All black does looks cool & nice for going somewhere posh with your Gf etc or a funeral, but think you would need to lighten it up a bit for a wedding!! imo

this isnt reservoir dogs dude. black suit with the light stripes is class. go for an off white shirt and pastel colours for the tie. its a summer wedding, not an emo convention
