looks lik the keane coming here is true, with crouch going the other way + some cash, a half decent move I think considering crouch wont play for us!

Did everybody on this forum catch a dose of Toffeehater-itis ? One rumour after another, not a grain of proof in any of it....
Where - in any online or offline reputable source - can any of these be substantiated ?

Farkin' hell....let the new season begin, and sooner rather than later !

(BTW - I didn't get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning, my wee fella is teething and I'm cranky and grumpy.....got nowhere else to rant :angry:

Talk sport did the story this morning and have been following it up all day (not that its set in stone, but Keane has also said he wants to play for Liverpool)

Also on LDP KEANE TRANSFER - Good enough for you?

Keane is a decent player, but we can get much better for less than 20 million. Anyway a swap with Crouch + a few million wouldn't be bad business.

Well this Keane rumour is gathering momentum. Talksport have been covering it all day (Stan Collymore in particular tonight). I for one hope this happens as Keane would be a great addition to the squad. A great foil for Torres and he could also play in the Kuyt/Babel role. If the rumours are true and Keane has shown an interest in coming then we should go and get him...quickly. Swap deal involving Crouch would then suit both the players and both the clubs...provided we weren't getting asked to pay stupid money as well as Crouch.

I like Keane but will be very surprised if Spurs sell. I just cant see them allowing Keane and Berbatov to go. From speaking to spurs fans they would prefer berbatov to go given a choice.

And rumours have sprung up that Reds boss Rafa Benitez is willing to pay ₤3million to bring the 33-year-old to Anfield.

I know this is Goal, but it would actually make a lot of sense to move for him as the article has stated. He'd definitely upgrade the quality of our set pieces and our attack. This would really be a smart buy.
