So give the man a nappy and a dummy and send him out at old trafford to score some goals.

You can't have everything mate.

He would definately be an improvement on Pennant and would get a few more goals, but i'm still not convinced totally, depends on the money Blackburn would be asking really.

i think its worth a chance at 8.5 million , plus we could sell pennant for 5 million thus only paying a 3.5 million difference worth it I reckon .

We should then play 4-4-2 and we will have Lucas and Plesis to cover the middle for SG and Mascherano. Have Silva to play left and Babel to play right. We would be as dangerous a team there is.

Like the that proposition mate , never going to happen though is it

IN -

Villa - £25m
Barry - £15m
Silva - £12m
Dossena - £6m

= £58m

OUT -

Alonso - £15m
Pennant - £4m
Crouch - £10m
Carson - £6m

= £35m

If the rumours are right then Rafa was given £20m to spend this summer. With the sales of the aforementioned (£35m) + that £20m we would have more than just about enough to cover the purchases above (£58m). These are the kind of players we need to be signing if we are to challenge next season.

I'd then stick to the 4-2-31 or a 3-5-2 formation to fit all these class players in!

EASY :)

More like Pennant + 8mil for Bentley.

I'd rather Affelay from PSV. Much better and more versatile.

We know Bentley can do it in the Prem though, Can setup and score goals and is still young.

Hmm.. I don't see Valencia selling silva for 12m, I think they would need more than that, maybe in the region of 15 or 16m.

OK then...add Riise (£5m) and Finnan (£2) and that makes up the difference to allow us to buy Silva  :nod

Afeeley has had a few good games and people are already going on how we should sign , i don't think he's that good TBH , prefer bentely unless afeeley was available on the cheap

According to some german paper we're apparently interested in the croatian striker Ivica Olic from Hamburg (as are Man City supposedly). Don't know too much about him, but I think he's around 28 years old. He was the one who got Croatia the penalty against Austria and he scored the second against the germans. I haven't exactly been overly impressed by him during the Euro's though (there are other croatian players who have stood out more).

Arshavin for Russia had a good game tonight - started and finished arguably the best goal of the tournament so far. He looks a bit small but very strong when holding up the ball and very aware - lots of nice, clever passes, plenty of pace and good finisher.

I must admit I have only seen bits and pieces of him before tonight - but others have mentioned him in the past as destined for the prem and I liked what I saw. The russian team played well tonight, very well in fact, the left winger Zhirkov looks a good player as well.

Phone numbers and prices please....

I'd have him in a shot. A class act and a very hard worker as well, He 'could' fill the LM void!

And...he wouldn't be overly expensive IMO.
