It makes me sick when guys like Abramovich are inflating the market by paying ridiculous fees for players and also putting massive debt on to the clubs. If this continues to progress then I may have to go watch some other league until this disease is gone.

He inherited an excellent team who had won 2 league titles and was not able to win a trophy for them. Beaten by Barnsley and Spurs in the cups, efficient but unspectacular in the league, and his biggest achievement was getting to the CL final. They only took the league to the last day because of Arsenal and United's poor run-ins, it's not as if they were pushing United all season. They had the easiest run any team will ever have to a CL semi final.
He was up against it from the start, their players didn't want him, their fans didn't want him and most of the football world was surprised at his appointment. Let's be honest, he HAD to win a major trophy to have any chance of staying on beyond the end of the season as manager.
