Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

According to today's edition of ABOLA(portuguese newspaper) Liverpool has already signed portuguese right defender Bosingwa.

The full article(translated by a online translator) :D

Player can do it before the championship of Europe
Liverpool want Bosingwa

Bosingwa's destiny is really England, but unlike someone has already been written about the interest of Manchester, the journey can be up to the cradle-city of Beatles, Liverpool. The footballer has already left a farewell speech, and its output is virtually assured. The FC Porto does not speak on the subject, in this and other, because only will the end of the season, but the story gained increasing strength and the dragons have several side-rights references.

The Portuguese international can not wait for the European, which will be elected from one of Scolari, to set its output, although there is always this idea that good provision in a event such as UEFA European can climb the values of a transfer. ABOLA found that Liverpool walked quickly, has already expressed interest in the footballer, and despite being well served with side-rights - the Irish Finnan and Spanish Arbeloa - greatly enhances the qualities of the player(Bosingwa) that have a direct entry in Rafa's eleven in normal conditions.

The values of a likely transfer are not even referenced, or if will come to that stage yet, as the matter has to be between the club and the player's representative, but the FC Porto side knows that the target is a much coveted in the bar EUR 25 million is easily reached by Liverpool, a team that is still in evidence in the Champions and ready to invest even stronger next season.

Do a lot to be said about leaving the FC Porto, Bosingwa, will certainly be the most likely and perhaps the sooner that is done, up to the door that the player has already opened to the state that had expressed willingness to change air. What is natural: Bosingwa knows well that does not lack market and believes that it's time to jump to a league most valuable and media, as is English.

The more than likely departure of Bosingwa opens space for a side-law. Among them we already know how the FC Porto: secret for now but not names missing.

Bosingwa was one of the workers of this title, one of the stars of the company that also enchants playing football, but other players are on lists of major clubs. As Quaresma in Real Madrid. It will not be easy to hold FC Porto all its values, but not think something like that will happen when the dragons were champions and Mourinho left the club.

This history is almost impossible to repeat. On departure, two exits, no more than that, and may well happen that are just Bosingwa and Quaresma. The plan is to continue to have a strong team.

Sorry for the bad translation. :)

Fantastic pace, one of the fastest players in Portugal. Very good dribbling, offensive mentality and good defender at the same time. And he's also good at crossing.

Reading the original not the translation, it says its not sealed but highly likely with a cheeky comment that 25 million euros is not problem for Liverpool (ask Masher that...). No one is discussing it at Porto.

Sametime, its a hefty price for an unknown and when you consider it in terms of Masher, I hope the lad is bl**dy good.

Hunt for Kewell is on
4 April 2008 |

Kewell appears to be set for a move away from England (Getty Images)

Harry Kewell’s injury ravaged stint at Liverpool may be coming to an end but that has only resulted in increased interest for his services from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

AC Milan have been heavily linked with the 29-year-old Socceroos star with Italian super-agent Giovanni Branchini - who helped seal Ronaldo’s move to the San Siro and land Fabio Capello the England job - a big hitter in player recruitment at Milanello. He is also a partner of Kewell’s agent Bernie Mandic.

Former Australian national team goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac has established himself as the Rossoneri’s first-choice this season and Kewell would have the perfect tour guide should a switch to Milan eventuate.

However, Milan are not the only Italian club chasing the attacking midfielder with Juventus and another Serie A outfit touted as possible destinations.

Turin giants Juventus are also in the hunt with Bianconeri coach Claudio Ranieri a long-time admirer of Kewell’s talent.

In assistant Christian Damiano - who worked under Gerard Houllier at Liverpool when Kewell arrived in 2003 - Ranieri also has an insider that knows just how good the Australian ace can be.

Despite having played less than 20 games for Liverpool during the past two seasons Kewell remains hot property on the transfer market with La Liga sides Valencia - a team in transition since the arrival of coach Ronald Koeman this season - and Sevilla keeping an eye on developments.

After a dazzling start to his Anfield career under Houllier, scoring 11 goals in 49 appearances in the 2003/04 campaign, Kewell’s career has stalled with long-term injuries seeing him spend more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.

Reds boss Rafael Benitez has stuck by his Aussie charge over the years, even picking Kewell in his starting XI for the 2004/05 UEFA Champions League final win over AC Milan in which he lasted less than half an hour, but he appears to have lost patience with his $A8.7million a year winger.

The emergence of Dutchman Ryan Babel should force Kewell - who suffered yet another injury setback while on Socceroos duty against Singapore late last month - out of Liverpool but rest assured he has a plethora of first class suitors offering him another challenge.

Bosingwa sure doesn't look 25.  Is he better than Rafinha?

Barcelona are open to offers of around £16million for striker Thierry Henry, according to reports in the English press.

Henry, who left Arsenal to join the Spanish champions in the summer, has struggled to settle at the Nou Camp due to personal problems and a number of clubs are lined up to bring him back to the Premier League.

The 30-year-old striker has publicly stated that he misses his daughter, Téa, who still lives in London with her mother Claire Merry and this has lead to a number of tentative enquiries for the former Gunner.

Chelsea head the queue for the France international but Manchester City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are also interested.

'If we receive a proposition then we will speak to the player,' a Barcelona source told the Daily Star. 'We have not opened the door for Henry and we have not closed it.'

Henry's contract with Barcelona runs until 2011.

• Meanwhile, Brazilian forward Ronaldinho is not looking for a move away from Barcelona, his brother and agent Roberto de Assis has said.

After being seen in England and Italy recently, De Assis wanted to play down the significance of his visits.

'My work is connected with the world of football and it is usual for me to travel and talk about personal matters when I think it is necessary,' he said in an interview with Don Balon.

'Ronaldinho has a contract until 2010 and I am not looking for anything.'

Media speculation has linked the Brazil forward with possible moves to AC Milan, Chelsea and Manchester City among others.

Local media have reported Barca are looking to offload the former World Player of the Year, who has only started 13 of the side's 31 league matches this season. Under-fire Barca president Joan Laporta has denied the reports.
