Which is why I don't class Ronaldo as good as the rest of you seem to. 300 shots a game (bit extreme but you get the jist of it) double figures in pens and free kicks and ONE against one of the other big sides. Pennant has as many goals against the other top sides as Ronaldo.

I could score 30 goals a season if I took 20 pens a season, had 300 shots a game and had Rooney and Tevez laying me on. Especially against the likes of Derby and Bolton.

Torres is the best player in the world right now, and Steve Hieghway was a better winger than Ronaldo

Torres is the best striker in the world there's no doubt about that, but Ronaldo is the best player.  I agree that Torres has tons more class than him, but as long as Ronaldo keeps scoring so many goals then he's always going to be the best.

I wouldn't really call Ronaldo a winger, he's more like attacking forward.

Err, not quite. :no The real numbers are:

22 goals in the Prem from 145 shots (total, not per game).  Three of those goals came from penalties.

Pennant, sadly, is not fit to lace Ronaldo's boots (and you know it).

He happens to be very good winger too.

bob go look at the amount of shots that don't make the goal because they're blocked, then that would be total and 11 penalities this season.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Where are you getting 11 penalties from?  He's scored from 3 in the Prem--4 in all competitions (out of 33 goals, it's worth mentioning).  Shots are neither here nor there.  On present pace, Pennant will be 56 before he equals the number of goals Ronaldo has scored this season alone!  :p

But even still, 3 in the league would have them at a one goal difference.  And then add free kicks into the mix, Torres would be on top.  However some free kick goals are deserved.

Penalties fair enough could be called gimmes, although some players are good at pens and others are not, but free kicks are fcking difficult, only a few players here and there have that skill, and if Nando had the technique he'd take them.

I'm not taking anything away from Torres at all, mate--just rejecting this notion that Ronaldo's nothing special.  Why I bother, feck knows, as GBJH is clearly on another wind up.  Point is, he's not into double figures on penalties as a certain someone has claimed.  As for free kicks, they are not easy goals by any stretch of the imagination so let's not rubbish those as achievements either (besides, it looks bad when we praise Stevie's goals, considering he chips in with a fair few free kicks and penalties).
