Taxi for Torres - judas fecks off to chelsea

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

He's quite simply been brilliant. You go to the game expecting to see him score. I know the press are doing it to death at the moment but his partnership he has struck up with Gerrard is a joy to watch. Its clear he is a player very much on Stevie's level. The 4-5-1 seems to bring the best out of the pair of them and long may it continue.

Torres triumphing in England talks volumes about the lad (and bad things about my prediction ability :D), but it talks volumes aswell about our bosses in the dressroom (Carra, Gerrard) and the team as a whole.

He's a good player, but he's not a 25M pounds player.

My concern is that you lot will be dissapointed. He has the pace, the dribling and the skill, but he hasn't the finishing. And since in Liverpool the team won't work for him unlike in Atletico, I cannot be too optimistic.

If Bellamy did the role of the pacy striker, then with Torres we've won a lot in comparison.

But if you lot are expecting the striker that will score the goals that Kuyt the orange international, or Morientes the Spanish international hasn't scored, then I'm afraid you'll be dissapointed.

:D

That's nothing.

Torres is awesome. He's totally worth the amount we paid for him.

No one will be disappointed. His pace is amazing. His dribbling and skill has to be seen to be believed. He glides across the pitch and his finishing is second to none. He will gel quickly in the team and will probably score at least 25 goals in all competitions. I am absolutely sure of this. I am also sure that Suzanne Shaw will win "Dancing On Ice".

Amazing player already, and the fact that he seems to fit into a new country, new language, new team and be a striker dependant for goals already and manage to do it is even better.

Women love him because he's good looking and speaks Spanish.

Once he starts developing a Spanisho-Scouse accent, his charm may fade.

Does anybody have an interview where he speaks English?  I heard that he already has a Scouse accent.

Haha its funny to read again and again by Sabre and some people here (at Spain) that atletico worked entirely for him :D :D
You are seriously wrong Sabre!
How many times have you seen atletico on past years? More than Atletico v R.S - R.S v Atletico matches??

No worries if Torres doesn't get him this time, then he'll get him next season.  I hope that he improves on his penalties so he can take them next yr.

Which is why I don't class Ronaldo as good as the rest of you seem to. 300 shots a game (bit extreme but you get the jist of it) double figures in pens and free kicks and ONE against one of the other big sides. Pennant has as many goals against the other top sides as Ronaldo.

I could score 30 goals a season if I took 20 pens a season, had 300 shots a game and had Rooney and Tevez laying me on. Especially against the likes of Derby and Bolton.

Torres is the best player in the world right now, and Steve Hieghway was a better winger than Ronaldo
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.
