From the Guardian live coverage...

"21 min: Apologies for not watching the football for a couple of minutes - it's basically a training session anyway - but I've just seen a picture of Taylor's challenge, and it is completely and utterly disgraceful. Flying through the air studs up, he lunges in halfway up the shin of Eduardo's standing leg. The striker's leg clean snaps at a right angle; no wonder Fabregas was holding his head in his hands the minute he saw it. It's going to be an ethical dilemma for sports editors across the country, is this picture."

??? Its impossible to tell how bad it was from that clip and if he went over the top of the ball, he went to ground but Eduardo flicked the ball away. Based on that clip I would say it was a yellow card at the most when you compare it to other tackles that have been dealt with by a yellow card the only reason I can see for him getting a red is because of the reaction of the Arsenal players as to how bad the injury was

lol, got told from some gooner mates, and saw the physio lip read wise to arsene wenger.

and anyone saying that was only a yellow card needs to learn a bit about football

Good luck and regards to Eduardo on the long road to recovery ahead. Nobody wishes that type of injury on anyone.
