Best of luck to the lad. When on top he really was boss. Sadly he couldn't reproduce his great form after those injuries. Hope he does well in Italy and that we'll now sign up Mascher permanently asap.

Yeah im with Saint, while abundances of riches in that department makes this seem a good deal. I really think in  a couple of seasons we will rue this transfer.

Best of luck to him though and we better sign the Mash now or it wont be a couple of seasons before i rue this

Not a bad profit that. As the general consensus says he had the makings of a good midfielder but after that eye injury he was never the same again. I'll always remember his heroics against Barca in the Nou Camp last season, that was a prime example of Momo at his best.

Best of luck to Momo!

After such a promising start he seemed to go backwards.
Something tells me though that we never seen the best of him,i still reckon the lad will become a very decent player given time and a run in a team.

£8.2m is good though, lets just hope it does not get spent on an ice hockey player!

He was/is the type of player I hate, can do one thing and maybe two but generally serves one purpose when there are plenty out there can do his job and more. To make a profit is good business, just a shame it's come so late and with time running out there may not be much more activity. If we could sign a good striker to partner Torres then we might have a good run and maybe a CL win, not that I believe that would be an entirely positive thing (deflecting from the task in hand ie winning the title)

If we win every league game from now until the end of the season we'd have 88 points and a shot at the title, with the top three to play away and Rafa never picking up a point at any of the three then that's unlikely. We're realistically looking at maybe an FA Cup win, Champions League campaign and a fight for fourth. We go out and buy Torres yet we're struggling to win enough games to put the wannabes in their place. For all the positives in Rafa's reign, how many Liverpool managers have finished beneath everton twice?
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Cracking bit of business from Rafa - getting a profit on someone with all the footballing ability of a cabbage.

Stick that up your a*se Wenger - you'd have let him go for free.

i think he'll be awesome for juve in time, football in italy is played at a very slow pace so he should be able to pass the ball

We might as well take it one step at a go Owzat. I no big fan of Rafa but believe this was good business. Hopefully the likes of Kuyt, Crouch, Voronin and Riise would follow Momo out of LFC.

now this 17 mill number that we all associate with Mascherano, I have heard that this is to include his wages over the life of his contract, well how much are his wages going to be and over how many years? basically what I want to know is what we would have to pay his agent to make him permanently ours? certainly its a number far less than 17 mil, a number that this sissoko dealing could significantly help I hope

i do worry though about paying 18 million for mascherano

a player as a centre mid is no better than carragher would be in centre mid, a stopper, tackler but adds nothing else

momo could have even done that job if you told him hes not allowed to pass more than 5 yards
