Yep but once its made (if its made) it should really help in generating revenue. I just hope up until then we can cope on the field. Arsenal didnt have much to spend while the Emirates was being built but they are in the top 2 or 3 richest clubs in the world now. Mind you, they never had masses of debt against them.

whoever end up owning the club they need to invest in a new stadium if there serious about making money and competing with the other three, all we can do now is hold them to what they said yesterday and see if they come good, they know only to well whats waiting if the dont

Dirt needs to be broken in stanley park soon. Whats done is done, we now have a huge debt on our club but if we get a nice new stadium out of it that pays then we will look back at this year with a wry smile.

Hopefully thats the case.

as far as i know the actual footprint of the new stadium is smaller than the old one, so i dont see any problem with us starting the build straight away, what we will have to do whilst the stadium is being built is apply for the higher capacity, if we dont meet the requirements we will probably only be able to open with a 60k capacity.

Been reading the thread and been surprised to see that no-one has really mentioned the possibility that the extra revenue would be obtained from a ground sponsorship deal.

I think it will happen, however if it means the club isn't saddled with a huge (extra to the current) debt and we name the ground for a few years, so be it. It'll still be Anfield to me. I can't see Hicks and Gillett going any other way as, put simply, its the American way of doing it.

It will still be LFC,the team we love!
Its just hard to accept because we dont want them.The last while has just highlighted what football has become.
Its ruled by money now and what fans want seems to come second.

Im just hoping that IF we are stuck with thes to gimps they make us successful and give the club what it needs.While they are doing this i hope they take a back seat and stay as far away as possible.
I know where you are coming from Ciggy i will never trust them ever,but i will always love Liverpool FC.And besides LFC is bigger than thes two men and has more respect than they ever will worldwide.

I just hope players don't listen to Alex Ferguson when it comes to that silly statement he made "Top players won't want to go to a club that doesn't appear to be stable"

If these two ruin liverpool then I believe there would some form of "assasination" :angry:

Its nothing to do with what Fergie says mate,its a fact regardless of who says it.

Instability and too much politics at any club is not attractive to any player never mind a player of world class ability who can go where he pleases.

I dont want G&H but if we are stuck with them they need to keep quiet and stay invisable as from now.

I'm glad to see that the latest plans are exactly the same as my memory of the previous new plans....all the main elements that made me and possibly you say WOW/EWWW are still there.....with the exception of the away fans end which has been vastly improved....infact if pictures of the old plan for the interior of that end still existed and were put side by side with the latest plans and viewers were invited to vote for which was from the cheaper redesign I'm sure the winner would be the older design.

Except for detailed comparisons with the various views provided which does reveal a few differences in details the main differences appear to be the footprint of the whole structure and the roof.

Looks like the Kop's appearance has been spoilt slightly by the gaps in the middle left of this view
