30 days of night

Synopsis
For 30 days every winter, the isolated town of Barrow, Alaska is plunged into a state of complete darkness. It's a bitter time when most of the inhabitants head south. This winter, a mysterious group of strangers appear: bloodthirsty vampires, ready to take advantage of the uninterrupted darkness to feed on the remaining town residents. Barrow's Sheriff Eben (Josh Hartnett), his wife Stella (Melissa George), and an ever-shrinking group of survivors must do anything they can to last until daylight in Columbia Pictures’ 30 Days of Night.

Lookin forward to seeing that one.

Finally got round to seeing BLADES OF GLORY the other night, it's not one of Will Ferrell's best to be honest. It does have it's moments but I'm glad I didn't pay to buy the DVD.

For those with torrents a DVD screener was upped this morning.

30 Days Of Night

I thought this was brilliant. Really old school type horror movie that you just don't get many of these days. Very similar in style and direction to John Carpenter's The Thing. The build up could have been a little bit better, but the pace and ferocity which the vampires attack in this film leave you feeling shocked. These f*ckers are brutal and their appearance is a lot different and more menacing than most other vampire films I've seen. They just look plain evil. There's also some brilliant special effects, including some of the most shocking decapitation scenes I've ever seen in a film. I'm not easily pleased when it comes to the horror genre, but this one gets top marks from me. Go see it!

Probably a little behind the times.... But had nothing better to do in my hotel room in Leonberg.....

So I watched Blood Diamonds. Normally I give diCaprio Movies a wide berth as can't stand him.... but this was an excellent movie... Catch it if you get the chance... Well worth it IMO.

Normally I'm the same. I just don't like DiCaprio's voice. Too whiny. Anyway, he was good in this. Got the accent spot on.

More importantly what has happened to Jennifer Connelly's breasts. She used to have a really nice sized pair, now they appear to have shrunk.

Considering he's a Yank, he done well. Most of the time when they try and accent, they get it so bad, especially when it's an Irish one. Oh, God, don't get me started on that.
