Some more Liverpool FC poems - Authour : The Ace 1983

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby The Ace1983 » Thu Sep 27, 2007 3:57 pm

Some of you may remember that not so long ago I posted up a few Liverpool poems which I had written. Well, a few more have made it onto my website and seeing as they were composed for the Liverpool FC community, I thought I'd invite you lot to have a read. Here's the link:

Liverpool Poems This Way -->

Just look on the side menu and click on "Poetics - The Mighty Reds" and the last four are the new ones. The really long one about our CL win (which comes just before the new ones) is supposed to be in the style of an oral bard, so imagine it's being read out by some Greek or Roman speaker. Well, hope you enjoy them. Please, tell me what you think of them here.

Also, if anyone else has any poems about Liverpool, either send them to me by message or e-mail or post them up here and I'll stick them on the site (giving the author full credit of course).

"I can see him....scoring in the game tonight.....Fernando.

And I've been waiting since he came on at the hour mark....Fernando......Fernando"

Squad List (a bit of)

Torres’ twisting, fast-paced turns

Stevie’s stinging shots and shouts

Carra’s crunching crutial tackles

Pepe’s palming keeps them out

Babel’s blistering, burning tricks

Momo’s hardened holding role

Sami’s sharpened, shaping sense

Crouchie’s tall and deft control

Riise’s thunderbolts and strikes

Xabi’s perfect, passing plays

Finnan’s fine and trusted form

Pennant’s pin-point crosses prey

Dirk’s total football fires goals

Agger’s ace in front or back

Alvaro’s versatile skills

But when will Harry make it back?

Class!
:buttrock

I really was thinking ah, how good is squad and that he praises them all, and then at the end, the Kewell twist
