Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Did anyone else hear Kirkland's agent  ???

He was asked who he thought would be the next big transfer and he said Jaoquin to Liverpool. :D

It sounds too good to be true ???
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

I wish :D
He comes from Spain and he doesn't speak good English,
But we don't care cos he'll turn us into winners,
The European Cup will be ours before he's finished,
Raaaaafaa Benitez!

With him being an agent for 1 of our players I reckon he knows alot more than most of us put together so maybe there is some truth to it. :D

You would expect a bit of a spanish revolution, managers like to bring their own in don't they (Houllier, Wenger [french] Louis van Gaal at Barcelona[dutch]) so I expect to see 2-3 spaniards in red shirts come the start of the season. Josemi is just the beginning

It seems unlikely considering Real Madrid have been chasing him and he has said it is his favoured destination.  Having said that, Figo no longer looks like leaving and we have an open space on the right and a top spanish manager so... maybe.

It would appear that Diouff is leaving regardless of what happens so Benitez needs to bring a new right sided player in as we now have a shortage of guys who can scarcely play an emergency role there, let alone win us Championships from that position!

It ws posted earlier on this thread about money. Has anyone else wondered what happened to the £30million that GH was supposed to have during the summer. That also didn't take into account the £14million for Cisse.

I can't belive we would  have captured a high profile manager as RB and kept hold of Stevie G with promises of ne world class players with a £2 million transfer budget!!!

malbranque all the way for me guys. joaquin is obviously an exciting prospect but id be worried about how he would settle into the english game and 15-20 mil is a big risk.

if we signed malbranque i can see us challenging and winning the league this season. with joaquin id just feel more uncertainties as his settling in period may be a lot longer

I think we should be patient with signings, I have a feeling they are on their way, there is still time till the closure of the transfer window. To Rafa his whole squad are new signings to him (albeit none of his actual choice!!!)
