Houlliers has just been appointed chief scout there i think!!!!......And when i said send the donkey instead of heskey, i meant to Birmingham!!!!!!
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

right.

heskey wouldn't make it to birmingham without falling over! :p

and soon enough he'll end up with a brummie accent and people will start mistaking him for lenny henry! well they are both comedians after all.

Barca confirm Hyypia interest
Thursday, 22 July 2004, by Alex Livie
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed towering Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia is a transfer target for coach Frank Rijkaard. The Catalans have strengthened their squad with a string of attacking captures and Rijkaard has now turned his attentions to his defence in a bid to bring Primera Liga glory back to Camp Nou. The Dutchman is looking to add some steel to his defence and he has handed a list of targets to Laporta, with Hyypia among them.
"We need a central defender and Sami Hyypia is on our list. We have been studying him closely and we think Liverpool might be open to doing business."
Hyypia lost the Liverpool captaincy to Steven Gerrard last term, but he is still a key member of the team and it is unlikely new coach Rafa Benitez will encourage offers for the towering Finland international.

Contemplating our defence without Sammi reinforces how without him there isn't any. :(

Hyypia...? Naah, they can't afford it.

However, a tempting offer for Biscan and/or Traore will be hard to resist :D

Trying to think logically, wouldn't it be time to think about Hyypia's replacement? He's getting on a bit. If a decent offer is made, then surely it would be worth considering?

BBC

Liverpool has simply said: "Sami Hyypia is just not for sale, it is as simple as that. And we have had no contact with Barcelona."

I watched Puyol play when I went to Barca season b4 last - he was absolutely superb and despite a Kluivert hat-trick I came away thinking 'he would look good in Red!' Maybe we should unsettle Barca by noting an interest!

I have seen Hyypia's last two games for Finland. And he has been horrible. Last year we saw that he can't handle the pace of some of the best players. The game will only get quicker, and Hyypia will only get slower. I think he should be sold if a good offer is made.
