The 17 year old attacking midfielder scored 12 goals in 7 games for Brazil in the South American under 17 Championships capturing the imagination of many of Europe's top clubs.

Saw a highlight of Maradona that must have been recently made, and some British commentator said, its a shame really, he let himself go like that, I have never seen someone with a coke belly before

Liverpool move for Real Madrid's Cicinho
tribalfooball.com - August 07, 2007

Liverpool are moving for Real Madrid wing-back Cicinho.
Rome sources say Liverpool are willing to cough up £7 million for the Brazil international and also hand him an improvement on his Real wages with a £2 million-a-year contract offer.

Roma have been locked in talks with Real for some weeks for Cicinho, but cannot compete with Liverpool's spending power.

The fact that Sami hasn't moved on suggests that Rafa is happy to have him in the squad for at least another season so he may still be mulling over a move for someone like Mancini, the Robben link is total bollox as I think I remember hearing he'd agreed terms with Real and is just waiting for them and the Chavs to agree a deal (but that was a couple of weeks ago).

Theres deffo one more deal out there for us though, I can feel it in me waters I tells ya! :D

As far as I know Everton have now signed Baines, think we've missed out there....and I believe he's a Liverpool fan !!

He is a very good player, but not very defencive minded, i think we need a more defencive full back than an attacking one to be honest

I thought one of the bigger critizisms of Finnan was that he does not get forward enough.

Premier League Giants All Chasing Di Santo

According to reports from Argentina Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all after Argentine wunderkid Franco Di Santo.

The talented 18 year old currently plays for Chilean club Audax Italiano, and is said to be one of the most promising footballers to come out of Argentina in recent years.

The lanky striker, who was born in Mendoza, stands at 1.93 metres, and has attracted interest from no less than ten English Premier League clubs.

Di Santo has been playing his club football in the Chilean first division for a while now, and is participating in this year’s Copa Sudamericana with his club.

He represented Argentina in the U-20 World Cup qualifiers in Paraguay, and is expected to form part of the senior national team in the future.

From all the clubs interested in signing the player, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea are the most likely to attract him.

According to the player’s agent, he will be loaned out to one of these clubs for 730,000 euros, but if one of them is willing to buy him they will have to pay 7.3 million euros.
