Who? if he's one of the fúckwits that spout shít in programs like el Rondo, then don't trust a word.

Now Liverpool will be the source of countless rumours, Spanish coach, many ex liga players there, new owners, and offloading 20 M pounds for Torres? that means dozens of articles, comments and rumours for the long summer we have on front of us.

From Wikipedia:

"The player is thought to favour a move to the Outer Hebrides"

Yes, really it is like a comedy. A program in public tv to talk only about Real Madrid.

Ola Mr Benitez wrote:I had a look at Quaresma on  tinternet and although the guy has fast feet, he looked a bit of a show pony to me.  None of the videos posted showed much, except he falls over a lot and his final ball is not that great.  Maybe I just haven't seen enough of him.  Do we have any Portugese posters who can give us a sabrelike run down on this guy, or do any of you guys know much about him??

I remember seeing a wee bit of him when he was at Barca where he eventually ended up playing back up to our recently departed Lil' Luis. I do remember him being quite wasteful with the ball when it came to crossing the ball and he did spend quite a bit of time on his arse.

Admittedly I've not seen very much of him since he went to Portugal so don't know whether he's improved/matured so I couldn't really pass comment on the current quality of him.

Personally my preferred choice of winger would be Mancini but that is purely based on the rave reviews he's been getting on here and in the press. Hopefully Rafa will decide to go back in for him with an improved offer.
I really wouldn't fancy seeing Malouda arrive now as he has come across as a bit of a mercenary and hedging his bets over who he was finally going to join. Suddenly Chavski are in the box seats for his signature and we're getting quotes from him along the lines of - "I've got my heart set on Chelsea (i.e. Getting  big bucks even if it does feck up my career *see the Shaun Wright Phillips bio for details  :D  ). No doubt next week if Arsenal decide to make a move it'll be - "I really want to play under Arsene 'I didn't see the incident' Wenger, as he's a great manager (i.e. "I only think he's a great manager 'cos he's French").

Boy I'm gonna have egg on me face if we sign Malouda now!!!  :D

I also think Rafa's learnt his lesson with Gonzo - trying to pick up a top-class winger on the cheap isn't easy, especially with the focus in the Prem going to 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 top wingers are priceless now.

I'm a bit cool on Torres, but happy to trust Rafa. But having spent that we might as well go for broke. These 3 will do for me:

Heinze £5m
Owen £9m
Quaresma £13m

that's £27m outlay. We could cash in Cisse and Bellamy for £14m, which leaves us a £13m outlay on top of Torres. With those players I reckon we're in with a serious chance of the Prem next season.

These three would do for me aswell, financialy and tacticaly!!

As a portuguese poster i will try to say somethings about Ricardo Quaresma.
He's a good assister since he made 17 assists to goal in 27 matches here in Portugal Bwin League.
He has a bad left foot, so he always try to cross and shoot with the outside part of his right foot and here in Portugal he's known by this "trick" that he does, the "trivela". He has a very good dribbling in 1vs1 situations and i think the defender would never know what he would do. Sometimes he's a little selfish but i think he's trying to lose that. He often tries to gain fouls something that i think in England it wouldn't be so easy. When some defenders make a hard tackle at him or in disputed ball he sometimes tends to use his elbows or to do some stupid things and in the final he gets a red card(Things like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVwi4vjXbYk ). Quaresma could also be a little inconstant in his performances. Here in Portugal his known by "The Magician" or "Harry Potter"
Sorry for my bad english because i'm a portuguese guy :D

Thanks for that Coiso - and your English is excellent mate.

Are there any serious reports in Portugal that say he may be about to sign for liverpool?

There are just rumours about a bid of 20 million euros from Liverpool and 22 million euros from Atlético Madrid but Porto rejected and asked for 25 million euros something that Atlético said they wouldn't offer. They also said that Liverpool will consider it and maybe offer another bid.

I think people have to stop banding for a Michael Owen return because under Benitez it ain't gonna happen. I think Rafa's proved he is very unrepentant when it comes to players that let him down and the way Owen left to "play in the big games" IMO would still leave a bad taste in the gaffas mouth

Oh Yeah i forgot, we bought a new striker on Wednesday, maybe you read something about it?

Yeah, i did read something about that. Spanish chappy, wasn't it?

We're getting rid of Fowler, Bellamy and Cisse. Which leaves us Torres, Crouch, Kuyt and Voronin. Ooh, scary front line, eh?

I agree that Rafa's not inclined to lay out the welcome mat for Owen, but at £9m he can turn a good strikeforce into title contenders. He's a bargain. But if you think Kuyt, Crouch and Voronin are gonna step in and do the business if Torres gets badly injured in September, you're deluding yourself.

i think Kuyt will have a superior goals total this year, cause he maybe wont spend as much time in midfield, and defence, and taking goal kicks:D
