FACT - we NEED players like him if we are to win the league in the long run. He deepens the quality of our squad.

FACT - Mascherano and Lucas are NOT his replacments, as Mascherano hasn't been signed as yet, and Lucas is a youngster (like Momo) bought to strenghten the squad further still.

FACT - he has been one of the better signings at the club of recent years.

Exactly, Lucas is by no means a replacement, he is a young prospective signing. We need depth if we are going to challenge on all fronts next season and In my opinion Sissoko will be part of that. Like I said, all the top teams have depth.

People seem to forget how good he performed last season, even the likes of Gerrard and Carra said he was one of the best players in the team. He's dipped over the last 6 months or so, but give the guy a break, he's shown he's capable of doing an excellent job. He can be part of next season's mix, football is a team of players and out of our players we have nothing like Sissoko. He has demonstrated his ability, as backed up by the players and the manager.

If you think you can go and find a better midfielder in his mould for £6million, go and do your coaching badges, cut the chat and show Rafa he's wrong.

It's just a shame people are so blood.y fickle.

However, it may well be that many who said yes would do that only for a serious amount of money... which could not be explained in that topic.

Back on topic, nobody ever thinks about injuries on this forum ? Remember two or three years ago we were out of personnel... I would not want that to happen in CM position...

look sissoko is only 21 yrs old, he had a good first yr up and is suffering from a lack of confidence. but to win the league wee need depth, and i see him having a bright future at liverpool. ppl hu pay him out r not liverpool supporters, like some guy said earlier, they talk :censored: about them but when they start to fire they treat them like gods. I wish people would give up with the "fickle" angle. You either rate him or you don't. I do as it happens, but those who don't aren't "fickle", they just have a different opinion. Wrong I'll grant you, but not fickle :D

May I ask the question about Sissoko in another way?

FOr instance I've always appreciated what he provides and I think he's a good proffessional. But imagine you're Rafa for a minute bigmick. If Juventus knocked your door, and put a good offer on the table, what would you answer

a) Sissoko won't be sold
b) I'll consider the offer.

I'd pick b), which doesn't mean I don't appreciate Sissoko. I'd just sell him if the offer is too interesting to be ignored.

b sissoko is a good player, but if the offer is 10 mill plus, he can be replaced for a better player

How was it 'the end'. That's nonsense, Mascherano isn't even a permanent signing yet.

You reckon? I think you need to check your facts mate.

imo i would keep momo, he may not be able to pass a ball (but he can learn) but he is excellent at breaking down another teams play, and he is willing to run at other teams all night until the final whistle, Momo is young and he still has a lot to learn so give the guy a chance.

I like the guy. Its just his passing that keeps letting him down. Its been mentioned in the press that Juventus are after him and Liverpool have placed a £15m valuation on him.

I like momo. The 2nd half of the seaon was poor considering what his form has been like since he joined but he hasnt suddenly become a useless player.  I dont think Rafa is trying to sell him but if an offer comes in he may let him leave.  I think Momo or Alonso could go.  If Momo is here next season I wont be disappointed as he still has plenty to offer.

What about this new Brazilian Lucas? Ok maybe it will take him about a season or so to adapt to English football but he's ultimately coming here to play in the first team so Rafa may decide to sell him, which would be a shame because I like Momo too, except for his passing :veryangry
