Bellamy was very good at Blackburn, has Rafa been filling his head with too much tactics?

I disagree. For me he's the one I'd keep.

I think he offers alot more than he's shown for Liverpool with his link up play and ability to drop deep.

Dropping deep fair enough, but link up play? cant agree with that at all. He runs the channels well but what does he do when he receives the ball? a couple of predictable step overs before he smacks the ball against the defender for a throw in. To add to that even when he does get a good chance he rarely shows the composure to finish. I like his work rate and pace, but he is serioulsy lacking in his other attributes.

Average paceman, who can be replaced by much better.

He can play a one two, has decent awareness of whats around him. Him and Fowler yesterday looked like a pair of strikers with ability who were rusty.

I like players who play one two's. Simple as that. Its very hard to stop, no matter how good you are.

Some of that will be the amount of space he had at Blackburn.

IE we go and play a team or they come to us, they're more likely to play compact, narrow and deep against us as they know we can hurt them if we open up.

When two evenly matched teams play against each other they usually go hell for leather, when anyone plays the top four, they pack a defence. Which is harder to cope with.

Its part of the reason I said Johnson would never be a good signing for us and I know Bent would fail here.

i will be sorry to see him go, this is a guy who will run u ntil the final whistle and never give up, pity all our players cant say the same.

i think its a disgrace the way he has been used in games, a few times this season rafa has taken off and then left the innefective kuyt on the pitch, kuyt offers nothing, bellamy makes sure the other teams defence has to sit deep because of his pace. we took him off against tha mancs and let them back in the game, they were able to become an attacking force when he went off. i really do think this is a mistake

Am i missing something here? Bellamy has come out and denied saying anything about leaving in the summer. Doesn't that mean this discussion is over?

Time to lock this? ???

While Bellamy was making a fool of himself yet again, a better quote from Carra :-

Jamie Carragher will attend the weddings of England team-mates Steven Gerrard and Michael Carrick, but the defender admits he could not bring himself to be among the well-wishers at every Liverpudlian's favourite player Gary Neville's. "I read somewhere that I was going to Gary Neville's. There'll be no chance of that!"

Disappointed that it didn't work out, as he's a much better player than he's shown for us. I think he'll do well at a top six club.

But the fact that he's come out and said it while we've still got at least one and hopefully two massive games left in the season has softened the blow quite a bit. It shows a completely unprofessional attitude that we're better off without, and I feel pretty gullible now for having given him the benefit of the doubt all season.
