"Craig Bellamy tonight rubbished suggestions he has no working relationship with Rafael Benitez, branding the story "complete garbage."
Said Bellamy: "A journalist working for BBC Radio Wales has told people I have problems with Rafa and haven't even got a working relationship with him. That's complete garbage.

"I have gone on record recently and I will say it again now that I have learnt more from Rafael Benitez than any other coach I have worked with.

"I am a much better player for the time I've spent working with him and if I do go on to manage at some point in the future he's the model I'll use in my career. I can't make my respect for him any clearer than that.

"I am even more disappointed that we are approaching a massive game on Tuesday against Chelsea and I am having to waste time responding to this nonsense." "

Always liked him cracking fella  :;):  :D

:wwww  :wwww Always said he was class, red through and through

Personally I've always been a big fan of David Bellamy.

He does a lot of good work for the environment, even though he spits while he talks.

I think the BBC pundit was wrong to divulge what Bellamy confided in him. Bellamy has now denied this - which is expected, but I still believe he said it.

Sounds like Bellamy is getting some abuse round here  :glare:

He never comes accross as MR personality, but he does give his all in every game he plays and you cant ask for more than that so ........... We'll have to wait and see come summer.

Bellamy's OK and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't say it, but if we can get someone better then fook it.

Its a shame but to hear him come out and say he has no working relationship with Rafa is a bit odd, Oh Well at least Rafa can get on with finding a top class replacement for next season.

Bellamy not getting on with the boss, how unusual. What he means is he thinks he should be 1st name on the teamsheet and any manager or club that doesn't pander to his ego is wrong. He belongs at a Blackburn, Bolton, Portsmouth or any club with limited ambition and a small enough squad that Bellamy might actually be their best striker and start most games.

Compare Bellamy to Berbatov and you can see who is genuine class. We should sell Bellamy back to the level he belongs at, mid table and maybe pushing for UEFA spots. It's funny how it never worked out at Newcastle, simply a clash of personalities with Souness. If we can get £6m plus for him and £6m plus for Crouch then I'd take it, we're not scoring enough goals to be title contenders and while some say keeping Robbie is 'clinging to the past' holding on to Crouch and Bellamy hoping that we'll win the title with them in the squad is living in cloud cuckoo land

Simple test of the quality of a striker and whether he is capable of being a title winner is whether the biggest clubs would want them. I can tell you for free any of our strikers would be subject to a prank if they claimed they'd had a call from fergie, Arsene or Josie
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

the same reason why i don't think rafa would ever sign anelka, even though he has genuine class. this season, i think bellamy took a gamble. he knew it would be a different set up, he would be a squad player rather than the main man. it just hasn't worked out for him, unfortunate as it is for rafa and craig.

but tbh, i don't think anelka has the desire for success to ever take that gamble.

just not a liverpool player

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

it's a shame if this is true...although he was a gamble we should easily make a profit on him.  Didn't Villa offer us 8 million?

Dosnt matter if he said it or not, He's not good enough and will most likely be gone in the summer, cant see why would keep him, as he is the most easily replaceable of our strikers.

I disagree. For me he's the one I'd keep.

I think he offers alot more than he's shown for Liverpool with his link up play and ability to drop deep.

Dropping deep fair enough, but link up play? cant agree with that at all. He runs the channels well but what does he do when he receives the ball? a couple of predictable step overs before he smacks the ball against the defender for a throw in. To add to that even when he does get a good chance he rarely shows the composure to finish. I like his work rate and pace, but he is serioulsy lacking in his other attributes.

Average paceman, who can be replaced by much better.
