Still no idea what CAMPIONE means ?

which of thses are the words

Ooooooooooooh Campione
The One and Only
We're Liverpool

They say our days are numbered, we're not famous anymore
But scousers rule the country like we've always done before

Or

Oooooooooh Campione,
The One and Only!
Were LIVERPOOL!

Shankly built a football team that shook the spion Kop!
We've conquered all of Europe and we're never gonna stop!

Campione d'Italia is an Italian town and commune of Lombardy, occupying an enclave within the Swiss canton of Ticino, separated from the rest of Italy by Lake Lugano and mountains.

The phrase and song "Campione, Campione, Campione Liverpool" hails from the victory against Roma in 1984's European Cup.

Its rough translation to English from Italian is Champion.

Not a musician myself, but I'd say the final song has a couple of musical notes different from the original one that was beginning  to be used about 10 years ago.

And credit where credit is due, the original, had this lyrics: Oe oe oe oe oe oe oa, oe oe oe oe oe oe oahhh, so this lyrics are much better :) . Not that bad once I'm used to it.

Good posts in this thread, particularly those about Stamford bridge in the past.

P.S. And it's curious that coming from the PAOK version the english one uses Campione, as the original one used Campeones in Spanish. I guess the song asks for it, it's a coincidence!
