I wonder if I have any Reina stats, I must just have............. :D

Pepe Reina (05/06-07/08)

Appearances : 124
Conceded : 80
Goals/Game : 0.65
Clean Sheets : 65 (52.42%)

Record : P124 W76 D26 L22 (Won 61.29%)

Since he was signed Liverpool have played 142 games, he has played in 87% of those. Carson and Dudek have played the most of the other games - mostly in the cups.

His father played in Atletico. He is better than his father, a great goalkeeper.

Agree the lad needs a song, best keeper in the league in my book. Has eclipsed Cech as far as i can see, i wouldn't swap him for anyone in the world, not Buffon and not Casillas.

I agree on Casillas.

Casillas is better under the sticks, if he played for us he'd make one of those flies that save us from a last minute header of Terry, he'd be loved aswell, but, analysing the game more deeply, Reina is better for us.

His kick is not only accurate, but also strong. It's fundamental when you want to push up from a goal kick. If your keeper is not reliable, the back four and the midfielders are not that sure of how to press. Most of the teams in my country do this goal kick push up and it's often used in England aswell. Reina is a great kicker of the ball. And his distribution with the arms and how he reads opposition attacks makes the back four better.

In a nutshell, Casillas is perhaps better to do a compilation video, and I like him a lot, but I preffer our Reina.

Fantastic kick up to Torres in last night's match.  Had Benayoun been able to connect from Torres's subsequent layoff, it would have been a peach of a goal.  From Reina's boot to the back of the net in under 10 seconds! :nod
