Well well well Dudek informs us hes unhappy and is leaving

"I will remember Liverpool fondly as a success but not the situation I've found myself in.....When a player knows he is a slave, he'll never give his employer his heart."

as far as I'm concerned he has sat on his ar5e collecting massive wages(Houlliers fault) with no intention of moving on till he was nice and plump. This confirms my suspicions during the 2 arsenal cup games.

To be fair to him, he's wanted to leave pretty much since Pepe arrived, it's a bit harsh to say he's only here for the wages.

I do agree about the Arsenal games though, I felt he was trying to push for a move by playing like sh!t.

I can understand that it must be hard to play in the reserves the next season you have played a Champions League final.

It must hurt one's pride.

I even can understand that he's unhappy with Rafa, he'd be the 29381st player to be unhappy because of not playing.

I even can understand that Rafa, when he said that he put Dudek because he promised it, he didn't put a lot of confidence in the lad (he could have said typical support words like the back four was new and all that).

But this quotes of Dudek are OTT. And and a shame. Dudek doesn't know what slavery is, and as Neil points out, he's been paid important wages.

Dissapointing.

He was pretty ok for us at 1st until his confidence went out the window in the Man U match..... AND there's Istanbul that we're indebted to him for.....

He's not what we need anymore (and if he wasn't misquoted, those comments he made were out of line) but he's done a service to LFC.....

Good luck to him when he does go.....

I'm afraid all my sympathy for Dudek vanished after our humiliations against Arsenal. He calls himself a slave? I would hardly call his current situation that of a slave. Getting paid alot of money and doing next to f*ck all. He had alot to do with us going out of the two domestic cups this season so he can't really complain too much that he hasn't had any games because he would have probably played in most of the cup games otherwise.

To say his just sat there collecting his wages is harsh. He signed a contract and has every right to see out that contract if he wishes. Just as a club has every right to make a player honour a contract.

The slave quote is silly and well paid people shouldnt describe there situations as slavery. I remember when Floyd Mayweather (great boxer) after being offered a multi million pound deal from Bob Arum said "This is a slave contract".

Would you rather he sat there and said nothing, happy to collect his wages, or let his frustration out by saying he wants to play football (even if it means for another club?)

exactly, he chose to see out a contract rather than go play elsewhere, then claims to be treated like a slave. We've probably lost Carson as a result of this as well.

I thought it was common knowledge he wanted out, but Rafa wouldn't sell him. I think I remember a half-hearted debate about that on here, with some saying - "let him go, we owe him that after Istanbul and he is not that good anyway", and others saying "if Rafa wants to keep him as back-up, then OK".

In hindsight, we should have let him go! But then that would probably mean Carson wouldn't have got the game time he's got on loan, which surely is a plus. Probably worked out well for LFC (unless we've lost Carson - whadaya talking about neil?), if not well for Dudek.

Oh well, he has got some pretty reasonable memories for his trouble... Shame about all the deprivations of slavery he had to go through to get them...

What slave ever got 50-60k a week?? He'll always be remembered for Istanbul, but he has made a lot of mistakes in important games and Rafa needed someone he could trust. He was ready to go until he realised that noone else was going to pay the same salary, (will never understand why we pay top dollar salaries, and transfers fees for average players, but thats another thread). Its quite simple any player who is truly unhappy will always find a way to leave, but he has stayed for the last 2 years, explain that Jerzy.... :sniffle

He should have left after the CL final. Waste of money since. He definately sat there for the money.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Sky Sports quoting The *** on this story? Couldn't it be possible that those :censored:

are just stirring up :censored:

(once again :angry:

) due to the impending clash with Chelsea? I wouldn't doubt for a second, that they have at least twisted his words, those cunning :censored:

. Anyway, I'm not trying to defend Dudek or anything, just wondering

Yeah he's frustrated but after the Arsenal performances I really don't feel sorry for him, he should have kept his mouth closed and left Anfield in the summer with the fans on his side :angry:
