the problem is guys that i HAVE to read his posts, he asked if he could come back and we agreed on the understanding that he sticks to his posting without resorting to personal abuse of any form, he was unable to perform this simple task.

his football posts are good, i never question that. even the fact that he disagrees with some posters views is not a problem, its the way he has to resort to insults that is the problem

I just find the whole thing funny, i know there are rules to be followed if you wish to post on here but at the end of the day if its just a bit of name calling and not racist or to personal i dont see what the problem is.

I understand that the mods have a job to do ( and may i say what a fine job you are all doing :;):

Some times can get annoying when you have to scroll through pages of people trading insults but if you read in between them the posts are usually ok

Start a thread where they can just go and slate each other to their hearts content, problem solved

I like Stu's posts. I do. I consider myself very pro- Liverpool and always looking for the best out of any situation sometimes to my advantage other times to my detriment. Stu is much more the flip of the coin, he looks at the negatives and its nice to see the other side of the coin.

I have spoken to Stu in PM's since this and he seems a ok bloke, however his abuse has to stop. I know some of you are saying "whats the problem with a little abuse?" but there is a problem. Why should people expect to be abused on a forum for expressing there opinion? Its not just a little abuse its totally mocking their ideas and thoughts. It creates a bad atmoshere.

ALSO ITS NOT A ISOLATED INCIDENT.

It was in front of a vowel,therefore the a gets an 'n' free of charge with no tax! :nod

to be fair barry i have only had to deal with one real person and that is stu, he was banned for his abuse and his racism, he sneaked back so i banned him again, he did what i suggested and asked to come back so we agreed, he abused that so he was banned again.

please tell me where my modding was at fault

I'll be honest with you peewee mate, a few months ago, I was not that fussed on you. I thought you were too headstrong and hounded out people calling them "WUMs" etc.

However you proved me and a lot of other wrong when we found out they were WUM's. I think having you as a mod is a credit to the forum, your there to clean up the mess and I think you have acted accordingly. Stu was warned and abused the mods trust.

I don't comment other mod's decissions because it would be a lack of respect.

I will comment though, that I hope you lot realise that "the power" of being a mod is a weak power, make an unpopular decission, and you'll be taken to be put on fire

Being a mod is a bit like being a ref in football. Sometimes it's good to just speak to the player to settle down, sometimes cards will be handed. Some refs will say "keep on playing" where as others will show a card applying the rules in a strict manner. It's hard to say which ref is better, for some games one kind of ref is better and for others the other one.

THere's no doubt though, that this situation with STU can be reversed, so I'll ask a lil bit of patience to everybody, let's not forget that we might or we might not agree with a decission taken by Peewee, but he's doing a tough job cleaning the boards of rubbish, and it's not a funny task to do.
