oh i can understand sarcasm and appreciate 'dry' humour ...all too well, including irony.... I also value 're-invention' and 'versatility' of ideas in my musical choice. Morrissey decided to reawaken our perceptions via avenues long since explored and 'endured' after he went solo...its the same old for me...in a different wrapping. Yeah, as musical revolutionries go, he deserves a place reserved at the top table when it comes down to having some 'impact' over a generation growing up under the disillusionments of life....so do countless other artistes/bands of the contemporary age..at the end of the day, its what 'floats yer boat' when all said and done. and music is far from objective material depending upon which ears it falls...but do me a favour in describing such work as 'superior' to other noteable lights of Music's resonating testimony through time. At best it requires acknowledgement, at worst its the stuff of sheer f**king self-sanctimonious wallowing about the misfortune and comical adversities of the afflicted. As for knowing sod all about music..you'd better have a re-evaluation of your own stereotypical sweeping generalisations before adding yourself to the list of ignominy to which you choose to subscribe through ignorant outpourings like the above.... OK we 'get' it, your favour for all things 'Smiths/Morrissey' - fair play to you...the world revolves around individuality and variety. but in no way shape or form is it everybody's cup of tea. The fact that i find it cr@p is my own personal opinion....you dont have to listen to that either.
