Hi there all,

I rarely ask for anything but am hoping you can pull in your FB friends and Twitteretes to help me and my band out. Over in NL there's a public holiday to celebrate the Kings birthday (was the Queens until last year  :D ) which some of you might be familiar with. Anyhow, live music is v. much the order of the day and it's one of the few opportunities that a struggling band gets to play in front of a decent sized audience. We have the chance to play on a stage in the local town of the singers, but it's an internet vote for the open slot. I was wondering if you could help me out and go to the following url and click 2 Buck Chuck. If you could spread the request on whatever social media you might have, you'd be helping a lifelong red out and I'd be very grateful  :D

Thanks in advance for your support. We have one day left on the vote and I've left it to the last minute to see what we're up against. The votes are up in the 1,300 range, so as much support as you can muster would be great.

Again, I love you all  :buttrock

Seriously ?    :D

I don't know what music genre your bands into but on the name I immediately pictured the Chipmunks (check 'em out on youtube) or some lads in checked shirts playing banjo's !

Sorry mate, but I'm thinkin it must have taken you all of one beer to come up with that name   :D

Lol. Never heard that before to be honest. A lot of people want to know how we came to name ourselves after New York slang for cheap plonk which is where it comes from, they're always curious how a band from NL has that reference….the answer is Scott Ian from Anthrax.

Ahh , ok I get it now. I associated "Buck and Chuck" with old fashioned American cowboy flavoured nicknames, not cheap booze  :D .

Personally if I wanted to name a band after something cheap I call them "The 2 Dollar Hookers" no ambiguity there   :D
