Smeg ! I have to ask . How can you only have heard early Beatles hits and yet be completely unexposed to their other stuff ?
Christ even if you were violently against their music there's hardly anyway you could fail to hear it .
(eg. First time I accidently heard "here comes the sun" was in a shi'tty restaurant in Khandahar 1971 )
Khandahar = sh!t holeyeah ? but you weren't there in '71 . (Peace hotel , with the "not for export hash "

Arcade Fire's sound, mate, but they're not something you'll want to put on every day. As for t'other one, all I can say is, who?

Bob, do you know who Bret Hart is? The greatest Canadian since Thomas Edison's mother. Also did you know that Morrissey called Canada "evil" for it's seal culling programme. He has boycotted Canada. So all the Morrisseyites are going to cull Canadians for a bit fun!
Long live the Mozfather!
P.S (Arcade Fire are great, I've seen them live)

He's had a very successful solo career, he has sold well over 80,000,000 solo albums, sure he's never got a number hit, but they're worthless these days, his UK tour sold out in twenty minutes flat a few years ago. His success is based on not being commercialised and repeatedly rammed everyone's faces like a lot of artists these days. You might not like him and his solo stuff is no where near as good as his Smiths works but say he is unsuccessful is very inaccurate.

I think after what Celine Dion and Chris De Burgh have done to music, Canada should ban it.![]()
At least Chris is a Red.

Hey, no pinning de Burgh on us...he's an Argie not a Canadian according to Wikipedia!![]()
Sadly, if he were Canadian I'd know because he'd be hyped up as some amazing home-grown talent.
