So you want good players but the Dubai crowd to :censored: off.....somehow I think we'll need the Dubai crowd if we want good players.  :;):

Not quite, I want them to fund our future remain here, but have little to do with the club, but that won't happen.

FFS give them a chance. They havn't even taken over yet and your hinting they are going to be trouble. Who knows they might INTERFERE and get our commercial interests up and running. They might INTERFERE and get us better sponsorship deals. They might even Interfere and make us the biggest commercial success in football.

You should give them a chance before coming out with :censored: like give us the money and go. We havn't sold our soul yet, and hopefully they will be angels rather than the Devil.

Rafael Benitez today admitted he was excited about Liverpool's future after the club confirmed they were in discussions with Dubai International Capital about a possible investment in the club.
Benitez is concentrating all his efforts on preparing his team for Wednesday night's Champions League clash at the Ataturk Stadium, but he admits today's developments on the search for investment have been a pleasing distraction.

Benitez said: "I have talked to the chairman (David Moores) and chief
executive (Rick Parry) about this and I was pleased with what I heard.

"At the moment I only really want to concentrate on the match here, but of course it is always good for a club to have more money and more possibilities.

"For now we are trying to be focused about the game, we will have plenty of time to talk about such things in the future."

Liverpool's immediate future centres on tomorrow night's game in Istanbul - at the scene of their heroic Champions League final success in May 2005.

With qualification for the last sixteen of this year's competition already secured there's less pressure on the Reds this time around, but Benitez is hoping the young players he has included in his squad will take inspiration from the last time Liverpool visited this city.

He said: "I was delighted with the motivation of my team here 18 months ago and I have always believed that we can go on and achieve more trophies together.

"We can do it, we can win more things together. We have the quality and the right mentality for it. The hunger is still there.

"For me the final was the best day of my football life, and I want the fact that the youngsters are playing here to be an inspiration.

"If they can just talk to the senior lads, see what they achieved, I believe that is an example that could see the beginning of something new from the young players who will follow."

Agreed Saint, they are gonna come into the club and make big business changes probably. They are not going to invest £450 million in the club and walk away and leave us to it.

They will market the L FC brand world wide and exploit it to the hilt. Make no mistake Charlmless man , these gents will want a return on there investment in the long term.

Liverpool have consistantly failed to exploit our world wide appeal , which is one of the reason's why we are so skint now.
UP THE PURPS !!!

Wasnt trying to sound a :censored: mate but you dont seem to understand that this is a good thing for the club not just for the present but for the future.

Without this who knows where we may have drfited in 3 years time? With the debts mounting what would we do if people like Rafa and Stevie left. And Carras not going to be about forever is he?

At leastnow we can build a squad wth a lot of depth and we can be certain that other clubs trying to monopolise this game wont wipe us of the top. This club is too good and great to be consigned to history becasuse of a lack of money.

Just have patience and give the guy a chance. A new era of Liverpool Football Club is unfolding and we should welcome him with open hands as we did for Rafa.

Thank you a nice post for a change, I'm starting to see the benefits, but I'm also worried, I wouldn't be a supporter if I wasn't and I too would like to say sorry for my outburst, but that's twice in two days you've laid into me Bav, but I'm prepared to put it behind me.

Man its normal to be worried, there is also risks that Moores and Parry thought. I really hope that this gives the best for the club and thats why i'll back the new owners (when the takeover is complete).

The fact that this guys personal fortune dwarfs Abramoviches is good not only for the clu8b but on the whole.

With Man Utd is different becasue Glazer has borrowed all the money from banks ect....so its not really like he can splash out here and there. That deal never should have gone ahead but the fact is that club was sold becasue the 2 mai sharholder had no real passion for the club so didnt care who it went to.

With Liverpool its a case of:

"Ok so if we have to get investment to keep up with he other clubs then lets go for someone good".

The scale of the company involved in this now makes me realise why it has taken to long but credit must go to Moores and Parry not only for securing this but for so many other things like fighting to keep Stevie and getting Rafa to come to the club. They have always had the clubs best interests has heart and whilst people have slated Moores for holding on to the club for too long at he can leave knowing hes got 5th richest man in the world backing the club now.  :D

With overseas investors its always wierd as you dont know them so dont know how much they really like the club.

But they are business men and I dont think he became the 5th richest man in the world by not sticking to the task.

Oh and another thing. I lived in Dubai for a few years when i was a kid and its a great place. The people are really friendly over there and the love British people.
