CHELSEA VS LIVERPOOL - Come on you rent boys!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Well you may not agree, But I think this game in the big scheme of things is bigger than last weeks game against the bitters, and it may be only September but to loose and worse to loose badly against the Kings Road Rent Boys will send a signal to all the other wannabe "top four club" teams that we are still not "up there" with the KRRB's and Manure.
We need to not only beat them on sunday but beat them well.
We are more than capable of beating them well.
Remember they bought there title's they are you might say "Ebaychampions"
I predict 0-2 Crouch and Stevie G

Judging on past games I would stick crouch up front for this one, he has always managed to cause trouble at the back for Chelsea and going on how they defend against him (strong arm tactics, usually carvallio jumping all over him and lots and lots of shirt tugging) I could see him causing trouble again.  And if you have Kuyt or Bellamy playing up front with him playing off his knockdowns in the box etc then we should manage to get a goal or two (in theory as always).

I think we can just squeeze with thins one provided Rafa does not change the back four that we played against PSV (we looked alot more composed and confident at the back and hopefully Agger did enough in Rafa's eyes to keep his central spot as I hope Warnock did).

If we can go in at the half 1 up I think we can get one over on the Chavs.

I hope Rafa will stop the tinkering until we really get the season going So I hope the same back 4 against PSV will stay, same goes for the midfield except for Gerrard coming in for Zenden, and Kuyt & Bellamy have a great understanding between them, so I hope they start too. My team would be

Reina
Finnan
Carra
Agger
Warnock

Pennant
Gerrard
Sissoko
Aurelio

Bellamy
Kuyt

We need Sissoko to stop the midfield axis of Lampard, Essien and Ballack. Alonso can be introduced if we're chasing the game and we need his thru passes. Hyypia is getting slower and Agger is looking good, so Agger should start. Pennant, Kuyt and Bellamy have impressed me the most among the new recruits, so they deserve the starting places in the 1st 11.

Kuyts gotta play
Garcia has done it for us in the big games
Bellamy will be itching to get at Chelski
Crouch is on form
Fowler is God

What a conundrum ???

I can see one of the new boys getting sent off, it may sound odd but I had a dream that Kuyt got sent off for elbowing Dan Petrescu, he hasn't played for them for years, maybe I dreamed it because I hate that c*nt, but at the same time, if we lose because of a stupid red card it would pretty much sum up our luck so far.

I don't think its a realistic goal to try and out pace Chelsea, I think a counter attack option would assume that we are going to take the pressure and be able to hit them back with conviction, Kuyt is a good box predator and I think getting men in the box is the key to victory, at the same time I say we don't start Crouch, we need 2 agressive strikers to out muscle the Chelsea defence, any guess who might fit the bill? The only other question is who is at centre back, I think if Agger starts he will either shut out Chelsea, or get eaten alive. I hope he starts as I don't think it will be the latter. I hope Gonzalez starts and plays well.

Just finished watching the punters on Star Sports write us off for the Chelsea match.....

Steve McMahon (Twit.... Deep down I think he still considers himself to be a Bitter.... Extremely hard on us, the git)
Clive Allen
Jamie Reeves
Paul Masefield.

Most of you may not be too familiar with the last 2 but they're fairly respected here in Asia...

All 4 of them don't give us a snowball's chance in hell with 2-0 being the average scoreline predicted..... I hope the boys make them eat their words this weekend!

C'mon you reds!!!!!

My emotional well being cannot take another dissapointing performance....  :p  :D

Liverpool are capable of beating Chelsea, unlike most other teams in the Premiership!

I started reading the thread and arrived at this. I'm absolutely staggered that they could give that fecking idiot this game. About the one good thing you could say about it is that he fecking owes us one huge style.
