It is so sad to remember Souness' time at Anfield as the manager...
He is one of our greatest midfielders ever, although he did dot stay until the end of his career with Liverpool, I am sure that he is passionate about the club.
Alan Hansen once described Souness as full of passion for the club, ambitious and thrives on pressure. This last element was something Hansen can do without, and he readily admitted that he does not have the "bottle" to becoma a club manager.
His player purchases were terrible, the only thing was the costs were never as high as those under Houllier. Is Souness really that bad a judge of talent? Perhaps he came to Liverpool too early, he should have come after 1997...
