It's a sore point with me really though, the making of women to wear the burka in countries like Afghanistan etc.

I was sooo pleased when the Taliban were overthrown and the broadsheets pictured the women showing their faces, with just headscarves on. (Although because some fear the return of the Taliban they still wear the burka).

What gets me is that it is to stop men desiring them, I think!

So the problem is the men again and not the women!

It would take a lot more than a burka to stop men desiring women.

Please could you kindly tell the "extreme" muslims this and you'll be making millions of women very happy, lol.

Dawson already boasts that hes made millions of women very happy :laugh:

Although I would refuse to wear one, so I'd probably be beaten, like the women in Afghanistan!

my eyes are open. I know there is an islamic threat. Theres also a threat from nearly every other group of people but im too bored of being scared of everything. There has to be a time where you either sh!t or get off the pot.

As I sit here infront of me with a newspaper I'm reading alot of things thats wrong with England today.

* The gas rip-off, during summer we sell 4 million pounds worth of gas a day to european countries. Yet when winter arrives Britain buys
back the same gas but for higher prices. As a result most probably your gas bills will go up to pay for this.

* 600,000 immigrant workers from the new EU states, one third of which are not registered and working alegally.

* The terror video that comes out one year after the London bombings, Shehzad Tanweer warns of more terror killings, charming that is
as he's British himself.

* Mother of 7 on benefits of £14,560 demands bigger house but hasnt paid rent.

* Our government still want money from you when your dead ! Gordon Brown devising more tax plans, now parents spend there childrens
inheritance to dodge death taxes.

There are just a few of todays headlines, not to mention the terrible state on the NHS, and evil people like Hamza still scrounging off society while he preaching his hate for this "great" country.

Dawson99 the fact of the matter is, while I'm proud of being English it still doesnt cover the fact that Britain(England) is not as great and rosy as you say. Its getting worse and worse year by year, I shouldnt have to fukk off as you so bluntly put it. I should be able to speak my mind and concerns in England and on this forum. Because I dont share you ' Everything is great and I'm naive' opinion it does not mean that I'm a pussy for saying what I said.

Not for definate of course not, but a recent poll showed Britain was considered or ranked low in terms of standard of living. Most other 'westernised' countries were above Britain including Germany, Finland, Ireland, USA, Canada, Sweden Australia to name but a few. This gives a fair indication that life in general in Britain isnt as great as it should be, or considered a desirable place to live when compared to other countries.
