Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

In November 2005, Barton's 17-year-old half-brother Michael was convicted of the race murder of Liverpool student Anthony Walker. Anthony, who was 18 and black, was killed with an ice axe at McGoldrick Park in Huyton, Merseyside, in July 2005.

Joey Barton had made an appeal for his half-brother to give himself up and subsequently gave evidence during the trial. Michael Barton will serve a minimum of 17 years and 8 months behind bars. The Bartons' cousin Paul Taylor was jailed for 23 years and 8 months.

Joey Barton? Hes young and wouldnt cost much especialy if we could do a p/x with Hamann. He would probably want more games than he would get at Liverpool tho'.

--------------

Joey Barton is a liability off the field. He would cause massive problems in the locker room. He is also not really a defensive midfielder. He plays in more of a roaming attacking role in midfield.

on another note, I heard that his brother murdered someone with a chainsaw. I was like  :help  this boys fuucked

Boateng has already signed a new contract with middlesboro.
Whats his brother got to do with whether hes a good footballer or not?

Barton plays central but im not sure if he can play DM. Apart from his behavioural problems I think he would be a good signing. Good passer, good shot, decent tackler and looks quite fast.

Could be worth risk but he would only be a squad player not regular which could decide his next club if he leaves city

We have Bellamy, maybe we will sign Jermaine Pennant, Anelka and maybe we might get Barton.

Didi is irreplacable, its like trying to replace dalglish with well name anyone ! He cant be replaced ! I still smile when we first signed didi all the geordie supporters saying "Good luck liverpool he'll want to leave at the end of the season !" class !

Yes sopt on he has been a big part of all our sucess in the last few years but im sure Rafa will find the right person to replace him.

It just goes to show that players may not propser with one team but flourish with another.

Who knows maybe Cisse could have blossomed with another team or maybe not.
