Some of us feel totally vindicated now but still some cretins won't believe he is good enough for this football club.

I just think its his size and freakish looks that people dont like about him and that tends to detract from his abillities as a footballer.

BTW for those who think he's Heskey II when did Heskey get a hat trick for England? Crouch probably has more goals for England now than Heskey had in his whole England Career.

I believe Peter has bagged 6 goals in 8 International appearances for England and has also changed the course of games when he's come on, whether the minority or majority of England fans like it or not Peter is on his way if not has already become an integral part of the England team.

No one can try and play down his performance today, he worked hard, got stuck in and chipped in with three goals, could of been four had he not missed the penalty.

I honestly believe Crouch will make his mark on the biggest stage this summer, he's not there to make up the numbers.

Emile Heskey: 5 goals in 43 Internationals. (Played on the left-wing a lot, though). (0.1 goals per game.)

Peter Crouch: 5 goals in 7 Internationals. (At least 2 as a late sub.) (0.7 gpg)

Michael Owen: 37 goals in 78 Internationals. (0.5 gpg)

Wayne Spooney: 11 goals in 29 Internationals. (0.4 gpg)

Alan Shearer: 30 goals in 63 games. (0.5 gpg)

Gary Lineker: 48 goals in 80 games. (0.6 gpg)

Mr Crouch obviously hasn't played enough games to be judged accurately, but he's got the best strike ratio so far!!!!!

this si where ratios dont count. henry scores one every 2.4, crouch one every 1.4, doesnt make croucha better player than henry tho!
