The peoples club

The Premiership - General Discussion

Found this on another board Iam sure the author wont mind it being reproduced here;

606 message board, Everton

That title still gets to me, "The Peoples Club" like it is some badge of homour to support an appalling side and forgive their abject rankness because they are "The Peoples".

This only prooves two things, either "The People" are stupid....or as previously posted the title "Peoples Club" is a honorific like "The Special" Olympics.

Other "Peoples" items.

Skol: "The Peoples Drink"
Unemployed: "The Peoples Career Choice".
Easy: "The Peoples Women".
Ginger: "The People Hair"
Low: "The Peoples Intelligence"
Stolen: "The Peoples Car"
Bitter: "The Peoples Outlook"
Living in the past and trying to blame their failure on local rivals: "The Peoples View of Hysel".
Delapidated: "The Peoples Stadium".
Under Used: "The Peoples Ticket Line", "The Peoples Trophy Cabinet", "The Peoples Passposrts into Europe" and "The Peoples Cleaning/Hygiene Products".

In a nutshell dress your failure up in some militant cumminist sounding rally cry title all you want, but deep down ayt some point you will have to realise that "The People" support a :censored: team, with a :censored: stadium.

So carry on being "The Peoples Club" clutch that withered title to your chest and hope that it keeps you warm....we will sticl to simply being called "Liverpool Football Club"....The EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS.
You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older.

Funny stuff RB, but there are too many threads on the bluenoses at the minute for my liking. They're not worth getting worked up over, they will always be in our shadow and they know it. Leave the hatred to them.

1: The Peoples club fans' combined IQ.

2: The Peoples clubs peak attendance this season.

3: The Peoples clubs squad value in sterling.

4: The Peoples clubs combined penis length in cms.

5: TPC's average amount of wins per season.

6: TPC's World-wide fanclub members.

10,000,000,000: TCP's debt if they ever decided to redevelop Woodison, and buy Djimi Traore from their far superior rivals.

B*stards. :D

Did you know that an anagram of peoples club is 'pleb couples'. Say no more.
Check out www.anagramgenius.com.  Just enter any name and have some fun.:D
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

And you call us bitter.........

When Moyes took over, he said he'd seen more people around the city wearing Everton football shirt than any other football shirt......the he said.....'its a club for the people in the city'.......hence 'the peoples club' slogan.

Because Moyes said it.....the club played on the saying as it sold!

I would much rather have people stating us as Premier League Champions, its not going to happen!

He was told to say that by your chairman to try and win your fans over. So the first thing Moyes did was travel around the city and he noticed how many Evertonians were around?  I have never heard such rubbish in my life. All this nonsense about Everton having more supporters in the Liverpool area.

I don't really see the point in wearing a football top unless your going to the match or going to play football.

Or maybe its because i'm getting old!
