Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah has moved from Italian champions Juventus to Turkish counterparts Fenerbahce.
The 24-year-old, who had been keen on a transfer to the Premiership, moved to Istanbul in a deal worth £5.5m.
Appiah's decision to leave Juve ends a seven-year stay in Italy after earlier spells with Udinese, Parma and Brescia.
He wants first-team football and Juve are blessed with midfield options after the arrivals of Patrick Vieira and Lazio's Giuliano Giannichedda.
"I'm happy to come to Istanbul," Appiah said after signing a four-year contract on Tuesday.
"Fenerbahce are Turkey's champions and I hope they will get even better with my contribution."
Several English clubs, such as Tottenham, Everton, Birmingham City and Middlesbrough, had all been linked with Appiah, who has an option for another year after his contract expires.
