Alan Hansen was never a midfielder but he was one of the greatest centre-halves ever to play the beautiful game.

cheesecake will you please get your facts right before you mouth off.I watched all 'jocky's' home appearances for Liverpool and about 50% of his away games so don't tell me I said he was a left-winger.You've obviously only seen him with Lineker on match of the day.

We already have 1 of the best defences in the league, I am sure man.u could put alan hansen to better use and maybe they could use terry wogan too, that should cover their goalie problems
