I do like to see the likes of Garcia play nice passes and score spectacular goals from time to time however i am slightly concerned that we feel we got to raid the spanish and other countries market. Xabi Alonso is exceptional - a great buy and really good value.
However Garcia cost us 6 million pounds or so , am i correct? 6 million would have bought us Joey Barton two years ago ( liverpudilan) mori cost of 7 mill - would have bought us Dean ASTON, michael Owen money would have bought us Stuart Downing or maybe a bit more and we would have had andy reid or jermaine jenas..... defoe could have been bought and so could Jermaine Pennant ,,,,,,,,, i love the foreign players but as an Irish man i would get no better satisfaction than seeing at least 7 or eight British and Irish players playing in front of English , Irish , Scottish and Welsh fans - main attendance at matches......... i love liverpool and get tired of being linked to foreigners. we have great player on both islands, i want us to spend more money if we have to because maybe im old fashioned but i love to see British and Irish players play for my club!! i am not racist but i do believe these type of players know more and care more about the history of the club

So you would rather we are linked to and buy over priced sub standard English players ?

alonso and maybe sissoko are the only decent players benitez had brought in actually , the rest are :censored:

, he had class players at Valencia becus they were bought for him and he is an unreal manager - i dont think he is good at signing talent ,
he is the best coach in the world tho
