i normally post during working hours(Nairobi time) 8am to 5pm which translates to 5am to 3pm GMT(message board times).

And its for sure we will defeat Benfica,am also sure it could be the hardest game we've played in the champions league so far this season.
Am saying this as Benfica seem to be preparing for this game as if nothing else mattered to them. They are currently studying us and looking for our weaknesses as this coaches viewing of our game against the mancs suggests.
Right now i think rafa and team are more concered about portsmouth than benfica.
We also have important premiership games Birmingham(at home),Chelsea(away),Charlton(away),Wigan(away) and Arsenal(at home) before we meet benfica.

What if there asked a question by the media about there opponents ?

Just like Rafa say " we don't think how they play, we only think how we going to beat them "

And when they go to old trafford to see their next opponent in the LC playing away (wich is what will happen in the first leg beetwen the teams) and after the match the jornalists ask questions? What do you call that?

In portugal it´s call to study the opponent and beeing prepared. (whonder why they went to old trafford...is it because we eliminated MU so we already knew the way they play and therefore it´s an excellent game to see how liverpool plays and looses away?)

I love the super confidence that most of you show...remember me the MU fans before the game in Estádio da Luz...hope that your players feel the same.

we're confident mate because our players always raise their game in european competition. in the last year we've kept clean sheets away against chelsea (twice), juventus, deportivo and anderlecht to name but a few. we also won in betis and leverkusen.

make no bones about it, we will be the best team you've played all season when we come to your ground for the first leg. forget your victory over the worst manchester united team i can remember. you're gonna have to raise it an extra level to get past us, especially over two legs.

Liverpool's weakness is obvious. Pull the centre halfs apart by pulling the fullbacks into midfield.

Usually hold up play on the wings to pull Xabi out or balls in behind our full backs cause us serious problems. Also diagnol balls and switches of play.

I know that you will be the best team we played this year so far...but benfica actual team has nothing to do with the one that beat MU...we are much stronger now since we bought a new keeper, 2 wingers, one forward and one striker.

You are still favorites but we have 9 wins in a row...only conceided 2 goals on the last 10 games so it´s normal if we also feel confident.

By the way, to anyone that is a football lover try to catch the Sport Lisboa e Benfica versus SCP tomorrow at 19h45 (GET time). The biggest game in portugal, since it´s our oldest rival and check our team and our stadfium and it´s atmosphere.

These comment attributed to mourinho on our first leg tie against benfica are in my opinion very true and we had some important games before that benfica game and i dont believe rafa did enough research on benfica or the portuegese game in general.

From a post by GunGod

"Mourinho has reignited his feud with Liverpool by attacking the tactics of Rafael Benitiz. He believes the Liverpool manager made a huge mistake by leaving Peter Crouch on the bench when the Reds flopped 0-1 in the Champions League first league at Benfica."

Mourinho said," The surprise was Peter Crouch, a giant who would have given Benfica's big defenders problems, did not play. Neither did Djibril Cisse, the fastest of them all and, therefore, the most dangerous attacking from deep. Fernando Morientes and Robbie Fowler played. Good players, but more similar to the traditional opponents of Portugese teams. Benfica's defence always felt comfortable."

you'd think he'd be more worried about Tuesdays match against Barcalona, wouldn't you?
