Apart from Benitez, credit must also be given to Pearce who let Fowler sign with us. Fair play by the man.

11 is available, I think that would suit him nicely.

What makes it even better is that this happened on the same day that Chelsea announce a operating loss of £140 million!

With this FREE signing Rafa has shown the world that romance in football still exists and whatever the blue boys think... money can't buy you love.

I fucking love this club!!!

Welcome home Robbie (and thank you Rafa) :D

Did ANYONE think we'd potentially have a strike force of Crouch and Fowler last summer? :D

And just think - how good a bit of business will this be, particularly compared to £10m or so which we could feasibly have spent on another former LFC hero?...

To bloody right, Rafa's not a fans manager he knows the strikers arnt putting it in the back of the onion bag.
His interview on TV, he will make the other players realsise what it means to play for this club.
My sig says it all Rafa's words today.
Absolutly delighted.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

It's a great signing. He's still got a few years left in him and the motivation of playing for the one club he really cares about will no doubt see him back in form. It was really essential to get someone who is a predatory kind of striker, since Cisse's finishing is poor and I think he'll be leaving in Summer. Crouch has been playing well, but Morientes has done nothing since he joined, so the striker situation needs to be addressed. Signing Fowler gives us another option for the rest of the season, although I still think Owen will return after the World Cup.

Welcome back, Robbie.

God bless Robbie and god bless Rafa.
In an age where money rules it is fantastic to see such an imaginative and passionate decision being made.
At this stage it feels like a decision made by the heart more than the head!
However what a fantastic signing.:p
God bless Robbie Fowler
