How can you not rate Robbie when weve been playing Cisse?

Cisse has been cautioned over assaulting his wife in a bar-

They new it was him because he kicked her over the bar  :eyebrow

Could all end in tears, he's lost two yards of pace since he was at his best.

But he's only thirty, a natural finisher, loves the club, who knows?

What will happen to moro now?

It's been reported all over the place today that Rick Parry scotched talk that there had been a move made to bring Robbie back on loan.

From what I'm hearing, this was completely true.

If you ask Rick Parry tomorrow morning however, he may have to give you a different answer.

Pongolle to City on loan til the end of the season, Fowler coming the other way for the same period.
Pongolle will be back with us come summer, and Fowler will be available on a free if he impresses.

Cisse to Lyon on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy in summer, AN Other in at LFC before the window closes.

All this from a journo mate I used to work with. Nothing in stone yet, as LFC want to sign Cisse's replacement before anything goes ahead. Not a clue how close we are to doing that, or of any names being mooted.

I've also been given the name of a right winger we're about to put an offer in on, but I can't give more on that until the weekend as the guy has a vested interest in the info staying under wraps. If something comes of the offer, it'll please some and disappoint others, is all I'll say. Am guessing our offer will have to improve anyway.

would like to confirm everything that Ivor has said as i heard more or less the same thing myself yesterday from a good source (not saying who),it depends on a lot of stuff falling into place tho ,and by no means is a done deal, but here's hopeing.

big pat on the back for ivor .GOD IS RETURNING HOME WHERE HE BELONGS.....
UP THE PURPS !!!

Yes, he'll have 1 or 2 games where  he'll relive some of the old magic, but he can't do it week in week out.  Come the Summer, why don't you become his agent, he'll need all the help he can get in finding a new club  :D

Right, so if City didn't play to suit Fowler he wouldn't have scored more than the 28 in 90 in he already has? Has he not made, are you ready for this? 32 sub appearances out of the 90 and maybe another few were starts, again, don't you think this would have upped his goalscoring ratio?

You say his pace has left him? When did Fowler EVER have pace? I can't remember him ever having any.

His touch has gone? Wheres the evidence? His desire? He didn't want to score goals in his last two games? Nar didn't think so.

Again, you repeat... in bold the... No-one else rates him so they are right and you're wrong arguement. I've asked a few times now, back this up with something else other than that arguement, 5 posts later, i'm still waiting.

Stu..............the basic fact that backs up my 'noone wants Fowler' arguement is this.

His contract is not going to be renewed by City-- Man City don't want him

He's been offered to football teams in the Premiership and Championship, but no offers- no one else wants him.

is THAT simple enough for you?

Good arguement! :)

Not happening, but the rumours are about to start i would think...

Notice I said this on the 17th of January.

Like i said Leon, I am superstitious and didn't want to jinx it. Regardless of what i've heard i didn't want to get my hopes up. Look back through the thread, notice it dropped off for a few days then i dragged it back up.

PRODIGAL SON FOWLER REJOINS THE REDS
Mark Platt 27 January 2006
Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce that Robbie Fowler has rejoined the club on a free transfer from Manchester City until the end of the season when the situation will be reviewed.
Fowler, 30, completed the formalities of what is a sensational move this afternoon.

The Manchester City striker is ineligible to play in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Portsmouth but could make an emotional reappearance in front of the Kop against Birmingham City on Wednesday.

Toxteth-born Fowler originally shot to prominence with the Reds in the autumn of 1993 and quickly established himself as one of the most lethal finishers in Europe.

After breaking countless goalscoring records and captaining the club during the unforgettable treble season of 2000/01, his adoring fans were left stunned when he was transferred to Leeds United in November 2001.

His spell at Elland Road was to be short-lived though and in early 2003 he moved back across the Penines to join Manchester City.

Now he's back at his spiritual home and news of his Liverpool return will no doubt be greeted with euphoria by his loyal legion of followers.

With so much still to play for this season, Rafael Benitez will be hoping that Fowler can now turn back the clock and reproduce his once prolific form in front of goal as the Reds chase Champions League and Premiership glory.

This is no time for petty spat's lads Robbie is coming home!!

As you always say Stu when arguing about Carra, a good player elsewhere can become a great player can be a great player when playing for a team he loves!

Step forward GOD prove the doubters wrong!! :bowdown
