In the papers today Mourinho has stated that Liverpool are a better prospect than chelski?

1) Do you Believe?
2) Just Rumours?
3) Do you think he has been approached?
4) Is he good enough?
5) Is he the man to replace Houllier?
6) Does it seem crazy to you that Houllier will be given 30 mil if liverpool are lining up a new man at the helm?
7) Are we a better prospect than Chelsea (more room for errors at Liverpool, Abramovich could get rid of a manager if he wanted, Compensation not an issue?etc)

I have not seen a lot of porto this season, but from what i have seen they play exciting football and have some quality players who were relatively unknown until the champions league run i.e deco, maniche, andrade (now with deportivo).

Please air your opinions!

I think Mourinho is a class coach and if he really did say that then its fantastic.

Unfortunately it looks like Houllier will stay on this summer.

I think that the onyl way we are a bette prospect is because we treat our managers with respect, unlike chelsea who dont respect anyone. I personally would like to see Mourinho join us but chances are that Houllier will be there instead. Maybe give him one more year and then let O'Neil come over or mabe even king kenny for a swan song!!!

Mourinho would be great and If he is in fact interested I think the board should push for him, he is young, passionate and has a lot of talent, he has showed this turning Porto into one of the best in Europe.
As said by mcloon, what paper? (it better not be the s*n!, don't read that gutter rag.) :angry:

I think he has apoint.

At least at Liverpool he would not be under too tight a restraint.

I understand Abramohvic signed a lot of the Chelsea players and not Claudio.

Still thinks Houllier will be here at the start of the season though.

liverpool would certainly be a better challenge for the guy. it's ok when you have money throw at you like he would have at chelsea. coming to anfield and trying to restore former glories should be enough motivation to anyone.

Less pressure at Liverpool but less money. To sack Ranieri now would be stupidity, to not sack Houllier now is stupid

rumour has it that mourihno will be at liverpool for the 2005/06 season after houllier calls it a day.

Why would we be giving Houllier 30-40million to spend if he only has another season in the job?

Well i don't know what to believe, i seen just yesturday that he said he would definitely be working in England...only bad thing is, he said he would be working in London!

6. Houllier hasnt been given 30m its bullsh#t rumours. Houllier will get fired the board havent said it yet not to unrest the players or cause disruptions in the dressing room.
7. There is more room for errors of course but like Owzat said less money also less ambition.

I would great if Liverpool got him as manager.......
