Just a reminder for those who might be interested .Jonathan Ross starts his 3 part look at asian cinema on bbc 4,10pm tonight .Fiirst episode focuses on Japanese films ,should be some crackin stuff in there . It should prove to be a good guide for those possibly interested in collecting films from insane world of asian cinema but aren't quite sure where to start .

Not really one for films out of the Orient, but the Korean film 'Oldboy', is a serious masterpiece!!

I know it isn't Japanese or asian but I watched Saw 1 & 2, last weekend, god how scared was I?, gosh I shat myself 3 times over.  Great films though, with great twists.  I watched them with my hands over my eyes:(

Too True jari, the Saw films are the best thriller/horrors to come out of America (which they havent copied) in a long time, didnt think the 2nd would match the 1st for twists and gore but my god it didnt let me down nor did i get the twist........AGAIN!

I wanna get me hands on Ichi the killer as well, ive had hold of that in HMV but put it down for some reason, defo be getting next time im there.

You will will love Itchi the Killer, it is a manga film remake.  Very, very off the wall, somehow manages to cover pretty much all taboos going and still maintains that comic book type feel, I hope you enjoy it
