Which team has the best centreal midfield pairing? I have listed the pair I consider the team's best, though you may not necessarily agree with the exact pairing. Obviously Chelsea's is a speculative nightmare, I could only pick two

I agree with homeleighkop that perhaps it is Man U and I hate them too, only because Viera had not seen much action this season. Although he is not a Liverpool player, I think he is probably the best midfield general in the Premiership and one of the handful best in the world at his position.

I rate Scholes but not quite so much Keane. He may be doing a decent job for manu at the moment, but I don't feel he is anywhere near as influential as he has been in the past. Gerrard and Scholes would be an awesome combination, with those two in the middle for England we should be doing better than we have in the past. Good keeper, good centre of defence and midfield, good striker in Owen - how come we struggle to perform so often?

keane is finished as a centre mid - why do u think they play  phil nevil along side him to do his running ?

in the olden days it wud have been keane (doing the work of 1.5 men) and scholes

watch his contribution to southamptons second goal today - HURRAY!!!!  p#ss off keano

premiership best ? what about petit and viera

nice

I am surprised Arsenal haven't gone out and bought true quality to play alongside Vieira. With someone like Scholes alongside Vieira, they would surely walk the Premiership. A creative midfielder and a 20+ goal a season striker to partner Henry and they'd be unstoppable IMO

yeah but if we brought a quality player to play alongside gerrard we'd be pretty awesome. i keep hearing talk of aimar, who is unhappy at valencia, coming in a swap for hamann. that would be a dream.
