Alright boys and girls, seeing that rafa will prob mix it up again this season in the domestic cup scene, what do u reckon will be the line up?

(It gets us off the gay owen threads doesnt it!? haha)

as long as he dont play garcia on the wing. i'd rather see him down the middle behind whoever is upfront.thats his best position. he loses the ball too much from the wing.

left side...warnock and riise
right back...finnan
upfront....morientes and cisse
midfield...gerrard, alonso

and im still thinking...

starting 11 for the league cup?  The reserves and no first team players.  The cup is virtually worthless and should be for the lower teams, thus giving them a chance to get into the UEFFA cup.

My teams barring any injuries and any possible transfers in the Jan window:

My team if opposition is League 1 or lower:

SUBS: Carson, Kewell, Sissoko, Sinama-Pongolle, Finnan.

My team if opposition is Championship or higher:

             Crouch  Sinama-Pongolle

   Kewell  Sissoko  Hamann  Potter

Traore  Whitbread  Carragher  Josemi

                   Dudek

SUBS: Carson, Riise, Zenden, Mellor, Finnan.

I chose this team for a number of reasons and I suspect that Rafa will also use the Carling cup to experiment a little. Morientes needs confidence and what better way to get it than by sticking a hat-trick in, and against lower league oppo, he might just get this which will make him more dangerous in the prem. Since we didn't get a new centre half, don't expect to see Carra or Sami in the side. I also believe that he will favour Pepe in goal to keep him fresh and sharp. Barragan's recent cameo on the right of midfield will help his chances a bit and this is the sort of game that he'll get the opertunity to do so in.
