Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing. If you are fourth you are a lucky man who will keep his job once more. (wonder who?)

Im beyond getting angry anymore.Biscan cost us the game tonight and shouldnt get to wear a Liverpool shirt again. We must have better than him in Kirkby.

This has to stop, 24 months of misery is enough, like this club hasn't suffered enough already. 10 years of manc dominace, cockneys running the show etc

I agree Midget (Murhy) gave away the ball all the time. Hyypia fell on his back (first goal) and gave away a corner (second goal, and he made me and 50.000 spectator laugh) Owen was not even there. Carragher was the good old fashioned kick and run guy without skills. Biscan was lousy, fortunately he left the pitch early as I prefer 10 men to 10 men+Biscan. On the positive side Gerrard and Hamann were awsome as always.

Simply not good enough to compete at this level I'm sad to say :( Tactically naive And thats down to the manager.Very predictable and very easy to defend against. Thats why we never seem to drag back a deficit and at 2-1 we all knew it was all over barring a miracle .

We again showed the weaknesses that have dogged us over the past couple of years.
Liverpool under GH ALWAYS have a game plan - and if anything upsets the plan (ie the fool known as Biscan getting sent off ) we do not seem capable of adjusting our game.
Instead, we fall apart!
How many times has GH himself said that 10 men often play with more purpose and power than 11 (usually after we have failed to beat 10 men).
Once the fool was dismissed we left Hypia totally alone in the middle looking lost and forlorn instead of stabilising the defence with Henchoz and taking the other fool Murphy off -who couldn't pass to save his life and was generally wasting his time in midfield.
Liverpool started brightly but failed when it really mattered, and that was when they were asked to raise their game above the storm.
It was sad to see just how easy it was for the French team - who by the way are not one of the best teams in Europe by any stretch of the imagination - to dictate play once the fool left the field.
Well done Celtic and Newcastle.
As for Liverpool......what more can I say?

Dead right .
At 1-1 take Murph the Smurf off and bring on Henchoz.Priority being not to concede another.
Look to nick something on the break and if the game goes to penalties dont let Owen take one.
That would have been my game plan. Anyone agree ? :D
Gerrard Foolier has surely now shown that tactically he hasn't a fkn clue.

With any luck, we would have got rid of the Cr*p from the continent and signed a couple of players with british blood and fire in their veins. Being french you wouldn't know much about that .
There was a time when Marseille had a decent side (Pappin etc) but now they are very average only supported by fools like you.
Don't worry mate next time we play you ,you'll get stuffed. :p

if we cant get into the last 8 in a mickey mouse competition, why would we want to qualify in 4 th for the Champions league?

we need to regroup, it will take a whole new concept on the club to get back to what we were.  i have said it years ago and i say it again.......Martin O'Neill.
What a Result!
