ha ha ha ha ha your so funny, your a fine one to talk isnt the city of manchester blue? ??? 75% of the fans in manchester support the blues, my mate went up to manchester and noticed that 15 coaches from around england and wales with manc tw@t supporters in, in one carpark, now i dont know how many carparks are in the sh!t city but i bet there are a few, and by going what he saw i bet 50,000 fans manc fans were non locals, so before you go blabbing your mouth do your research on your stinking filthy scummy fans.

i can handle any supporter from any team except the manc tw@ts, arrogant bast@rds.

ok it wasnt a straight red "Garcia made a meal of it" did you even see it, Welsh body checked Garcia, completely took him out, just because he is spanish dont think for a second you can :censored: us. You had 2 shots all game and they were off target. We had 15 altogether 7 on target WITH wayward finishing and a perfectly good goal ruled out for a extremly close offside decision. You deserved nothing you created nothing.

A tip for surviving in this league dont talk :censored:.

I dont mean offense I just hate people saying stupids thing like your post here.

Anyway good luck and I hope you shut those magpie :censored: up when you play them (I hate newcastle, a golf club is a bigger club than newcastle) I hope you finish above them God I love that. I hope you stay up by the way.

is it only me who beleives the welsh should have been sent. the ball was gone before he ran into garcia and the if you watch it you see welsh kick out with his left leg.

Why is everyone lambasting this guy? He comes on here for a debate and you lot have a go at him. Much of what he says is quite true, Sunderland fought hard today and although we had the majority of the chances we never really dominated the game after Xabi's goal and Sunderland could have snuck an ewailiser and got a hard earned point. If I was a Sundelrand fan I would be quite encouraged by their performance today, considering they also had several players out injured.

Liverpool were the btter side yes, but I think some f oyu shoudl show a little bit of respect.

It was defo a yelow as their was intent from Welsh to give him a shove after the ball had gone, but a straight red card was absolutley ridiculous IMO.

After watching MOTD highlights I have to say the sending off was an absolutely ridiculous decision,no more than a yellow card at best.
But to say Garcia made a meal out of it(he's not exactly built like a brick outhouse you know) is equally ridiculous,he got up and got on with the game, there were no 10 backward rolls or half a dozen reverse somersaults a la Robert Pires that I could see!  :D
Still,we've got the 3 points without playing too well so I'm happy with that to be fair I tought Cisse was a little unlucky with one of his chances and the "goal" he did score looked onside for my money, that said Stevie G can consider himself lucky not to be also shown a red card and Momo will have to keep his arms down a bit...  ???

I agree.

People in this thread are talking as if we totally dominated the game and reached their goal with ease at each go and created clear cut chances each time. I didn't see that. We had chances, but then again...so did they. I think it's lucky to say that we walked away with 3 points, could have easily been a draw if Sunderland had a bit more of luck on their side. We failed to put the game away, and the thought of them taking away any points out of reach for them. That's a fact. As has been addressed countless time already, our strikers are looking less than lethal in front of goal (fair enough they don't get many clear cut chances at times, but they should take them when they do). Cisse should of had a goal today. No question. Morientes?? Should have done better with that unmarked header.  Also, Zenden should have clearly crossed his.  One big positive from today's game, though...Xabi on the scoresheet. It would be great if he could make more of a contribution goal wise this season.

Anyway, still saying that...I wasn't really impressed with their side. Arca stood out, though.

Au Contraire, I believe if the ref hadn't been such a homer, then we would have had a peno. If Carra hadn't been in the right place and if Brown stuck his leg out then there's three goals we could have had.

Garcia is still a cheat. I will put money on him getting conveniently injured just before the game at the SoL; but maybe it will be a dislocated hair strand. Spanish P**f

First of all they didnt though, and we didnt have our shooting boots on so both KeeptheFaith and AB theres not much point in talking about what ifs.

Garcia a cheat?? excuse me have you watched the replay? no it was never a red card but did Garcia dive, simulate, or even play hurt?? no he didnt, he had his shirt pulled by one of your players and so it was a free kick.  Garcia was off the ball, the whistle already gone and Walsh just didnt quite stop running in time and bumped into Garcia (who if you watch the replay had one leg off the ground so wasnt balanced) who being a slight lad fell over, he got straight back up though.  No cheating from him.  Walsh didn't do anything wrong and you are right to say that he didnt deserve a red card, the only thing I can think of is that because after knocking garcia to the ground he stared at him and maybe the linesman has no idea about body language and thought that Walsh had deliberately bunted him after the whistle had gone.

But Garcia certainly didnt play on anything to get Walsh red carded

Welsh meant to knock him over Starbridge, out of frustration I would guess. But it was still not worthy of a red.

I felt a little uneasy about the way this thread was developing last night and having read through the comments this morning, I have not changed my mind. Frankly I think it's embarassing that a forum made up of fans who pride themselves on being different from other clubs can treat a visiting football fan like that. I may be getting a little precious here but I think one or two should be ashamed of their contribution.
If winning the CL means we are all going to turn into Mank-like Winkers then I wish it hadn't of happened to be honest. The fella comes on here, says he'll be cheering us on in against CSKA as his team will never ever qualify, and we slag him off? He feely admits that they are going to fighting relegation all season, so we laugh at his teams predicament? He's proud that his team won the Championship last season, so we say "Nah nah nah nah nah, its not as prestigious as the CL? He's a bit one-eyed as far as the game goes, so we destroy the fella? He's actually proud that his team got beat "only" 1-0 by Liverpool, so we laugh in his face?
Well not me. There were some good people involved in this pack, some people I have a lot of respect for. People can slag me all they want, not a scouser?, how many games do you get to mate? I don't care. That was wrong and I hope if this fella does ever revisit the site or indeed any supporter from a non-rival team (unless I've missed something and we have descended to the point where Sunderland are our main rivals), that we treat them with respect.

I've watched it a couple of times now and I'm still not convinced he did it intentionally, if you watch the way he runs in he's slowing down with every step closer he gets.

I don't think it was even worthy of a yellow personally, but thats just my opinion.

You're dead right BigMick, people act very much the same way with regards ChelseaForever, and I know its slightly different circumstances but it still annoys me that people don't care what anyone of another club thinks.
