Let the man go in peace...he wanted a 2 year contract and we were only prepared to offer him a 1 year one.

Anyway, Inter is a club which has always flattered to decieve, they will never win anything serious.

No thats not the issue, the issue is that he agreed terms with us and says that 'it would be his dream move' to join LFC and then when Inter come into the picture he fooks us off and joins them. Thats why people are annoyed :;):

to be fair, Inter have given him a 2 yr contract and he wouldn't have got that here. He will probably get more money too. His loss, i reacon RAfa will have already started looking elsewhere long ago.

Very nice. Now Figo is not coming we dont have to spend huge amounts in his wages. He is way past his best and too overated anywyas. Lets see what he can do at inter.

i was all for figo coming a few weeks back but tbh i couldnt care less anymore that he isnt coming here, we can do better than bringing him here and im just glad this whole things over although i wont be calling him a traitor for picking another club over us even though he said he would join us, he preferred to go to inter get over it

who cares, players like Figo come and go like a p!ss in the wind, but we'll still be here when he's stroking his ego telling his grand-kids about how he helped Inter win f*ck all

i'd have liked to see him at anfield but ain't gonna shed any tears about him going ewlsewhere, after all if he was never 110% committed to coming here then he's not the kind of player we want anyway

Oh well,so we've lost out on Luis Ego,I'm just waiting for Rafa to say (a la Shanks) "He couldn't play anyway,I only wanted him for the bench!"

How is Figo a traitor if he chooses another club?

Figo is one of the best players in the world, he has had an impact at every club he has played. His skill, ball control and vision are exemplary and he can unlock any defense on his day. He has the right to chose any club he wishes, just because he once said he wanted to join Liverpool doesn’t mean he’s a traitor if he signed for another club. You never know how the negotiations went, maybe he was not offered what he was looking for, maybe Madrid were not happy ... a lot goes on behind a transfer - especially one which invloves such a great player.

Yes, a lot happens behind closed doors but a lot also happens in public, like Eto'o and Schevchenko, great players that they are, openly rejecting to join Chelski...
